#gaius must hate victor even if he can't stop him for the sake of their world continuing to exist

@snoozaga: I've been marinating that a lot in my head but considering that gaius got pretty badly hurt or crippled or something he probably cant even do anything against viktor and was deliberately left alive to help cover it up? Or to avoid civil wars or infighting for the throne or some bullshit But considering hes the first one to jump on the murder train when it comes to julius in the regular verse maybe it's just out of spite
All of these fractured people that are aware of what's going on have pretty wretched existences and that's probably the worst end for gaius to end up lol Sorry got a bit long xD
ksdhskshs don’t worry about I’m always happy to hear other thoughts 😂
Yeah Gaius is very pragmatic and sees the big picture, and I think he might also be aware what the next best option is considering he doesn’t have many... Gaius can’t do much wrt Chromatus/FDs even if he was still able to fight, Victor is the only person left capable of protecting their FD from other agents. So even if Victor literally murdered the party and especially Rowen, going after Victor would just make things worse in the long term and might get their dimension destroyed even faster? It’s really an awful predicament...
Still hard to think that everyone was like “oh yeah a bunch of people got murdered here at this lakeside house... best not to question the guy who lived there!” but X2 is never especially subtle with its exposition for FDs lmao
(I would probably headcanon that Victor faked his death. Makes it a little less suspicious if people think Ludger died along with everyone else. Then again I also like to headcanon that Victor covered up the whole thing by saying they were ambushed by agents from another dimension.)
As for Julius... I mean the Bad Ending is pretty silly for the X1 cast’s reactions, but Julius is literally asking to be sacrificed and already dying anyway, there’s nothing to gain from saving Julius and the whole world to lose. (Which is why I adore it so much...) so I'm not too surprised by Gaius there.
i would think a little about gaius and victor if it weren't for the fact that it's so hard to make it make sense that victor got away with all those murders 😂
