For the shipping ask meme, assuming A) you haven't gotten asked these yet and B) tumblr doesn't eat the ask: 1, 23, 26, 31, 37. (Or just a few if that's too many.)
1, 23, 26, 31, 37
1. Talk about the first ship you ever had.
Well, if I were to totally go back to my first ship, I guarantee it would be movies like Fright Night (1985) with Evil Ed/self-insert, The Lost Boys with Marko or Paul/self-insert.  (My first actual fanfic that I remember writing was a Children of the Corn, but there was no shipping, but if there had been, it would've been a self-insert)  After that, there were other movies or TV shows with canon characters and self-inserts.  I was 13 - whatever age I quit writing fanfic to attempt original fic.  When I made my way back to fanfiction and actually knew it by that name, it was Jay/Silent Bob as my first non-self-insert ship.
23. Which of your ships deserve better writing?
Scott and Emma.  I've looked, and it's really hard to find fics for these two that aren't steeped in BDSM or some sort of kink.  Yes, while those can be good, they're not what I'm looking for.  There's way more to Emma than just the White Queen and her fetish persona, and I wish more of that side of her could be portrayed.
26. Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by pattern to my shipping.  I mean, I tend toward writing more humor than angst, even when there might be a tiny bit of angst.  I'm pretty drawn toward characters who tend to have some kind of easy-going banter between them, even if it's just a few minutes of it on screen (Tony/Loki).  I tend to be pulled toward the likenesses that characters share (personality similarities, similar interests -- finding out that they have similar interests when they might think they're too opposite, shared traumas, or types of traumas).  Friends turned lovers.  Um.  Heh.  I don't think there's any one type of romantic dynamic I'm drawn to.  It'd be easier to say what I'm not drawn to, such as power dynamics, dub-con, non-con.
31. Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a ship you love.
Okay, so I love writers who combine myth!Loki with MCU!Loki in some ways (such as Loki's former marriage/s and the fact that he has children, both 'monstrous' and not) and I love it when those children come into play alongside his relationship with Tony where they both get to stumble through -not- being dads like Odin and Howard, all while working on their relationship post-Avengers Assemble and all that entails.
37. Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP?
I don't think I have favorite tropes or AUs.  I mean, there are a lot I like, but I'm not sure I can put my finger on a favorite.  I can more easily point to things I'm not as fond of or just don't like.  The a/b/o thing kinda creeps me out.  The soulmate trope where your skin is marked when you encounter your soulmate.  I'm not sure where those things started, but they're generally on my Do Not Read list.  Along with non-con, a lot of BDSM only fics (peppering that in here and there for fun is one thing -- having couples that are ONLY into that and it defines their whole relationship?  No thank you.  More power to the people who love it, and I hope they're happy with all that's out there, but it's just not my thing.)  I guess for me, Loki is like Emma.  Just because Emma was the White Queen and clearly has kink history, that doesn't mean it's the whole of who she is, and I'd rather see the Emma that's -not- the lifestyle she felt she had to live in order to have any control of her life.  Just like Loki is a kinky shapeshifter, but that doesn't mean that his every encounter with others has to be gender swapping fetishes.  I like to see the Loki outside of everyone's expectations of him.
