I hope whoever was calling the shots with New Horizon's localization are never allowed to work anywhere near video games ever again
#it makes no fucking sense for every single one of 57 cranky villagers to ALL explicitly be old men#for SOME of them it could've worked. but you cant sit here and tell me all these young looking NPCs are all elderly.#and the same thing with 53 peppy villagers ALL having the exact same goal of being a popstar specifically.#it wouldve been okay for SOME of them. but why the hell did we give such specific individual goals to every single one of these villagers#across the board??#it's BETTER for personality types to be more generic like in previous games because then they didnt all seem like the same exact person#either go back to making them more broadly generic or give personality types subsets-- 1/3rd of cranky npcs are old men#1/3 are just jerks and 1/3 are closed off and isolated#or something like that#this franchise cannot continue like this. it gets old. you cant just lean into 20+ year old npc interaction dynamics even harder#animal crossing#fuck im so mad about the state of ACNH's botched release and its localization
