me'sovahl has a twin brother, ( name lost to time ) , born at the same time, but is believed to have died shortly before she herself was trapped in stone. he fought valiantly and was ultimately killed against a series of hunters who wanted to strip him of his dragon flesh / scales and sell it on the black market, believing they would be imbued with some sort of magical power, since the dragons were born from isval, mother dragon, creator of the magicks themselves.

little is known about the location of the fallen beast, though it's likely he was also imprisoned somewhere that the earth split open, a burial space created by the mother dragon herself to protect her fallen child in the event that he could eventually be raised. though the act of necromancy has been outlawed for some time until there is a resurgence of the dark powers / magick, she believes that it is their only hope of seeing her fallen child again.

many have searched over the years for his resting place in hopes of finding and resurrecting said fourth born dragon, attempting to turn him into a dracolich of their own making and therefore controlling a powerful weapon of mass destruction. his burial site is said to be protected by powerful magicks that only a specific dragon blood can unseal and open. me'sovahl has been searching for her brother since she was awoken and unimprisoned by the mount arres twins, and subsequently has realized that cressida is the one she needs.

until such an action can be done, and the burial site is found, me'sovahl protects cressida with her life, knowing that she is the only one who can potentially free her twin brother and set things right. she yearns to be reunited with her brethren, and feels like a part of her is lost without him by her side. only when she bonds with cressida is she at her full power, meaning that if cressida were to perish, she would be subsequently weakened and vulnerable.
