“more chocolates? geez, who knew the fearsome morax is secretly a sweet tooth?”

“shut up,” the boy sighs and throws a glare towards his ginger friend - not that it would affect him; the smiling idiot who got even more excited and reckless when a student from another school brought a knife to a fistfight. at once, another smaller boy swoops into his defense, golden eyes narrowing as his lithe arms crossed upon his chest.

“it’s ninety-five percent cocoa. bitter is the word you’re looking for. then again, you’re so dumb you’re failing art, so i suppose it’s understandable that you would struggle with language.”

“wha- the teacher’s the one who can’t appreciate real art! my narwhal looked fine!”

“that…. was a narwhal? it didn’t look like one.”

“alright, well, it might have looked a little like an orca, but-”

“it looked like a mauled deer.”

“oh, that’s it, pipsqueak, you and me, we’re settling this right now. maybe then you’ll understand that you don’t deserve the general alatus title!”

“hmph. you really are a child, just like your infamous nickname.”

zhongli sighs inwardly, teeth biting off the chunk of chocolate and humming appreciatively as the taste flooded his tongue. this would pair well with that tea he just procured from guizhong, he muses silently. ignoring the two’s bickering, he scanned the area before his gaze settles on a familiar figure. at once, he turns his head slightly to address the two.

“quiet.”

the order in his voice makes them stop abruptly for a moment. ajax breaks into a whisper, but barely two words in the dark brown-haired boy hears his friend grunt, presumably from getting hit by his right-hand man. morax refocuses on the scene.

one moment, you're looking around like a timid mouse, and the next, with a swiftness that rivals xiao’s punches, slip something into a locker. or, well, more specifically, his locker. a second after, you walk away hurriedly.

he waits awhile before stalking towards the same spot to open the same door and reaches inside.

“…. oooohhh, i see now,” ajax hums and giggles like a lovestruck schoolgirl, “you don’t like like sweets, you just like the one who brought it for you!”

zhongli throws another glare, and he knows for sure that this one isn’t working because one - ajax only laughs louder, and two - he can feel his cheeks burn.

“quiet.”

this time, there’s no order in his voice, and even xiao breaks into a small smile.

normally, i would pick one of my husbandos, but i thought that my waifus needed some love. i'm gonna be completely honest, i'm on a bit of a genshin burnout, so i haven't been playing often or much in general, so i was planning on doing yuno from black clover in one of 'em, and komi from komi-san can't communicate in the other, but i ended up doing ningguang and raiden, cus, pretty mommies <3 i would literally DIE if i could sleepover with these two women haha....thank you for the tag @kaelily, and sorry it took me so long to fill it out!!

𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢, for once, is absolutely quiet. he has to stop and stare at you for a moment. his face grows a tad pink and you haven’t even noticed his gaze from across the bar at all. he’s just so smitten all at once. it takes him a moment to stop staring and when you do notice his persisting gaze, he grins softly at you. but he certainly makes it obvious that he finds you absolutely breathtaking.

𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐡𝐚 doesn’t show much physical emotion upon spotting you. but you can tell in the way he talks to you often and makes light touches. none of which are unwarranted or certainly uncomfortable towards you. he just happens to enjoy when your fingers graze against his or when you laugh at a story he recalls for you. your smile makes butterflies swarm in his stomach. kazuha was a gone man the moment he lay eyes on you.

𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐮 appears almost starstruck. he pauses what he’s doing for just a moment to admire you. you’re stunning and he makes no mistake in letting you know. he flirts with you like no tomorrow and how could you resist him? he’s sweet with his words, trying not to let it show deep down just how loud his heart is thundering underneath this seemingly confident persona he’s put on.

𝐗𝐢𝐚𝐨 doesn’t exactly know what he’s feeling now. his heart is engulfed in this fluttery and light feeling. his face is flushed as he glances back and forth across to you. he’s unsure whether or not to look away from you when you finally notice him. his eyes grow wide when they meet yours and he slowly looks away once more. but after another second or two, he appears to gain the courage to try one more time.

𝐀𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 smiles like there’s no tomorrow. his eyes shine so radiantly when he looks at you for the first time. there’s a smile on his face and he adores the rush of butterflies that rush into his chest. his smile is practically blinding when you notice him out of the corner of your eye. he waves at you, instantly going over to talk. he was struck with puppy love the moment he lay eyes on you.

𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞 refuses to acknowledge the sudden warmth in his chest when he spots you. his eyes follow your figure in an almost hypnotic trance before he shakes his head to pull himself back together. but he can’t stop himself from glancing your way occasionally. eventually he gives up, resting his chin on his hand and staring at you. how could he not admire you? but as the songs go, he won’t say he’s in love.

sakusa kiyoomi may be 192cm tall but he is most definitely a little shit.

putting away your favourite mugs on the highest cupboard so you have to ask him to get it down for you is a given — he loves subtly watching as you struggle on the tips of your toes, pretending like he's not fully aware of what you need, until you begrudgingly approach him and ask for help. he always helps of course, but sometimes when he's feeling particularly cheeky he keeps handing you the wrong mug to rile you up even more, despite knowing exactly which one you want.

when you watch romance dramas, you can't help but swoon at the lovely domestic scenes. more specifically, when one of them is cooking or doing the dishes and the other would gently place their hands on their partner's waist to move them aside so they can pass through. with the amount of times you've squealed at those scenes during your movie nights, you'd think kiyoomi would take the hint by now. yeah, right. kiyoomi — who would never fail to sneak up behind you while you're busy in the kitchen with your back turned to him and jab a finger into your side, taking his opportunity to slip past as you squirm and jerk away. he doesn't even spare you another look when you protest and scold him, but he has an amused smirk as he goes about the kitchen. maybe you can give up on the cheesy rom-com tropes.

kiyoomi always wakes up at an ungodly 5 a.m. to go on his morning runs. he offered for you to join him once and straight up left you behind with no remorse. like,, have some compassion, omi, some of us aren't professional athletes who's used to doing this every day. suffice to say, that was the first and last time you joined kiyoomi on his morning run. 90% of the time, when he's done his laps and finishes showering, you're still fast asleep in bed, all cuddled up under the blankets. kiyoomi's heart melts when he sees that even in your sleep, you somehow manage to wriggle all the way to his side of the bed.

however, he decides he likes it even more if you're awake to have breakfast with him and give him a kiss goodbye before he leaves for work. so it's not uncommon for you to wake up due to your natural walking alarm — a brat by the name of sakusa kiyoomi violently shaking you awake while muttering something about your favourite breakfast on the table. if that doesn't work, kiyoomi will not hesitate turn down the thermostat to freezing temperatures and snatch your blankets, basically forcing you awake.

of course, you've tried many times to get back at him. one time you got your hands nice and cold and pressed it smack against his stomach. you could feel his muscles tense under your palms as he jumped and sucked in a breath through his teeth at the icy intrusion. he didn't say anything, but he shot you a nasty evil glare that says "i'm going to get back at you and it'll be ten times worse and you'll never see it coming." to your knowledge, he hasn't done anything yet and to this day, you live in tremendous fear and suspense.

and yep! unfortunately, i'm much sneakier when it comes to expressing affection to the the people i care about so it's expected TT . TT. as for them understanding? i can't be too sure.

as someone from india, let's just say that the whole thing about our language is that we...have a lot of them XD. my own mother tongue is not that widely spoken either ( heck even i have trouble with it sometimes since i grew up speaking a mix of tulu and english in my house ) so the possibility of it even existing in sumeru as a dialect? i'm not sure.

but my best bet is tighnari, being from sumeru himself. that or heizou because he WILL scour the library to look up it's meaning.

Dream trip- Tokyo! This has literally been my dream city to visit since I was little. I just love the look of skyscrapers at night and going shopping there and trying all the food is just so exciting to me. It’s just really expensive to travel there but hopefully one day 🤞

zhongli, the traditional man that he is, will buy you flowers every now and then. but once in a while, he will give you your favorite teyvat flower variety… with a twist. they’re made of carefully crafted cor lapis. just like how the finest cut of diamonds glitter beautifully under watchful eyes, your flower is just as ethereal, and just as eternal as his love.

xiao’s signature qingxin flower is quite literally always on your person - well, at least a part of it. he gives you a crystallized, freshly bloomed petal, imbued with his blessing, for you to use as a pendant of your necklace or a charm on your bracelet/anklet. seeing it glint under the sunlight as you call his name is a sight he would never trade for anything else.

kazuha gives you at least a flower a day, and they vary from small wildflowers to a full fresh batch of blooms, but they’re always given to you from familiarly bandaged hands and accompanied by a sweet smile and warm, twinkling cherry-colored eyes. and with each flowers you try to preserve, the wandering inazuman feels himself fall for you even deeper.

al haitham gives you a full bouquet of flowers which can be barely held by some random colored ribbon that doesn't always match the bouquet’s color scheme, whenever he has to leave you for a period of time because of his work. little did you know each flower is grown by his own vision every time he thinks of you and misses your presence.

heizou leaves you random papers containing riddles almost every single day, and they're usually accompanied by random things, including pretty little flowers he found from searching through byakko plains for clues about the recent case he's investigating… when he comes to see you later, he sees them on the vase by your desk, and he gives you a teasing yet also lovesick, grin.

albedo gives you some kind of otherworldly flower that took him days of pondering and researching about how to make it bloom using his alchemy skills. they’re one-of-a-kind and magical, and even though most of the time they wither within a day no matter how you tried to care for them, he will gladly gives you kisses in exchange.

zhongli who lets you rest your head on his shoulder when you sleep throughout the flight, pulling up the blanket when it falls off your shoulders.

zhongli who gets confused about operating the on-screen entertainment display and doesn't dare to touch it, thinking if he does something wrong, he'll jeopardize the safety of everyone on the plane.

zhongli who chooses to ignore the entertainment option provided in the aircraft in favor of talking to you throughout the flight - or alternatively just bringing out a book he brought to read. his reading glasses suit him so much you get distracted from the movie, and instead, you end up reading his book together.

zhongli who holds your hands when the turbulence is particularly bad, his calloused fingers rubbing soothingly onto your skin as he tries to distract you by softly asking about your travel plans together / what you're gonna do when you get back home.

zhongli who feels how cold your fingers are and wraps his hands around yours to warm them up. no, he's definitely not doing it just so you can hold hands <3

“yes, dear?”

you beam at your husband as he looks up from the array of tea leaves on the kitchen counter to give you his utmost attention. like an excited puppy, you bound over to his side and grins up at him before pointing towards your lips. his hand promptly settles onto your cheek lightly, amber eyes examining your face before they widen slightly in realization.

“a new lipstick?”

“mhm! does it look okay?”

“it looks perfect on you, darling.”

“thank you, but get this! it’s not just the normal lipstick!” you make a show of kissing the back of your palm and showing the clean skin afterward, “ta-da! it’s non-transferable, non-smudge, and waterproof! the merchant said it’s a new invention from sumeru!!”

zhongli nods sagely, an impressed look lighting up his expression before it falls into a solemn, thoughtful look. you catch onto his worry almost immediately and instinctively wiggle your pointer finger with a reassuring smile.

“oh, don’t worry! i’ve interrogated the seller about the ingredients, and she was, in fact, very knowledgeable about the process of the creation! i suppose everyone else had the same thought after hearing about such an invention, and they were also worried about toxic chemicals being used or if there were any side effects that developed in order to make such a thing possible, but rest assured, i’ve memorized everything and researched beforehand, so i can confidently say tha- mm?!”

both your body and your brain freeze when you feel your husband’s soft lips descend unto your pigmented ones. the surprise is soon taken by excitement as you dazedly grant him entry, head tilting to slot your lips better, arms instinctively pulling him closer just as one of his hand rest against your nape. he smells - and tastes - like tea; something with a sweet undertone to it, refreshing and light, you suspect it’s a new blend of his, considering the batches of tea leaves sitting on separate bowls on the counter you briefly saw as you walked in earlier. you wonder how long it would take for this one to brew, so it can achieve the ‘full flavor’, as your resident tea-fanatic husband always says. it would definitely be longer than the kiss you share - though when he pulls away it still leaves you breathless nonetheless.

eyes half-lidded, head pleasantly buzzing and dopamine swimming in your veins, you’re silent as the hand resting on your cheek shifts, his thumb sweeping the bottom of your lips towards the side.

a disappointed frown and a slight pout grace his handsome face, and you're tempted to laugh at the adorableness of it all.

“hmm. a shame. it truly does not smudge.”

“Something on my face?” Kaeya asked. There was a sort of curious glimmer in his visible eye. You hummed in quiet acknowledgement. He gave you a mischievous grin. The one that you loved ever so much. He leaned into your touch, pecking the inside of your palm.

“Now what are you on about?” You murmured, shifting a bit to your right so that he could readjust his legs properly next to you.

“Well nothing I suppose. You just seemed so focused on my lips. Was I perhaps wrong?” Kaeya was fond of the way you glanced away from his prying question. You two both knew better. It was almost inevitable that this would happen.

“Maybe you were, maybe you weren’t,” you countered, causing him to give you a faux pout.

“You’re a very cruel person, aren’t you, Dove?” he murmured rather fondly. There was an odd look in his eye. The kind that made someone want to melt right then and there. The warmth of his hand brushed against your cheek and you smiled at the sincerity in his expression.

“You’re beautiful.”

“Are you fond of nature?” You asked, looking up at the fading autumnal leaves in the thinning branches of the trees. Kazuha’s eyes were trained on them for a moment before his gaze switched back to yours.

“I find warmth in nature,” he explained, “When the leaves turn red or back to green, I gather that it’s a beautiful experience… However, I find the best visage is the twinkle in your eyes when you admire the stars gleaming in the night sky, or the flowers blooming in spring.”

He smiled innocently when you appear surprised by his comment. The way he scattered the words into the wind had your mind in a love-dazed spin. “You… are so odd, honestly,” you mumbled averting your gaze once more.

Kazuha’s grin remained still even after you had attempted to leave his embrace. But he chuckled, brushing against your cheek to gaze at you. His eyes were kind. They had always been. But the way he looked at you was so much more wondrous than anything you’d seen before.

“Do you think I’m wrong, my Love?” He whispered. His breath grazed against your ear and you could feel his smile against your skin. “Because I could continue for the rest of the evening if you so wish. There’s so much I’m willing to say.”

Albedo didn’t miss the odd look in your eyes when you returned from town. Your journey up the mountains of Dragonspine must have had a block in the road somewhere as you set the supplies on the table beside him and stumbled towards the bookshelf.

“Anything wrong?” He murmured, feeling you tense under his touch.

You seemed to think for a moment and he allowed you the time to do so.

“Just feeling a little insecure today,” you finally admitted.

Albedo’s frown deepened. You? You felt insecure? “I do not quite comprehend this…” he said softly, “You’re so captivating.” And perhaps he didn’t much else but the sincerity in his eyes and the way he practically whispered the words with such purity, you could feel your heart pound louder in your chest.

“Do you disagree?”

You stood there, taking in the incoming chill from outside the warmth of the camp. At your silence, Albedo smiled softly, cupping your face in his hands. “Because if you do, I do not mind writing up a report arguing against it.”

i adore the idea of smitten venti.

imagine a rush of cheers sounds from the bar as people gather around the crowded tavern. another evening sweeps over the bustling establishment and another round of drinks is poured for the intoxicated customers.

perhaps this was the luxury venti always envisioned for the people of mondstadt. he was well aware of the rather harsh reprimands liyue’s people had for him. but, honestly, what was better than the sound of freedom pouring in from a crowd?

“another song, bard!” a patron called, reverberating another round of enthusiastic cheers through the rest of them. venti grinned from his spot and stood, strumming the strings of his trusty lyre with a flourish. “but of course!”

the tune of the door opening aroused the bar’s attention as a new person entered the building. though their presence was acknowledged they were quickly drowned out once again by the surrounding chatter. venti, on the other hand, simply stared.

how he wished he had an inkling as to how to sing the song currently serenading his heart at this moment. his eyes followed you, a simple traveler, through the tavern. venti stopped himself from staring any longer, now worried his face was flushed red for another reason than alcohol.

“cat gotcha tongue, venti? let’s hear it!”

venti glanced at you for just a moment and found that you had settled down to listen to his performance. he cleared his throat and, for the first time, found himself nervous.

your eyes were trained on him as he sang of his usual tales of glory and adventure. venti noticed they were rather… hypnotic. and upon seeing your faint smile, he strummed his lyre a little more passionately.

You gaze at Diluc through your glass. Honestly, you can’t remember the last time you were alone with him in the tavern. You can feel your throat grow dry and your hand graze against the grain of the wood. It’s smooth and while you try to make sence of your spiraling emotions, Diluc nudges your hand. His eyes are soft; so soft it hurts.

“Refill?” you ask in a raspy voice.

“I think not. In fact, I think it is time you headed home, no?”

You swallowed thickly, letting the rough emotions slide down your throat and burn your lungs. “I want to.”

Diluc pauses, his eyes scanning your own. “But you can’t?”

“Home is a long way from here. But I miss the scents of it,” you pause, letting your thoughts melt into an odd mishmash of your home, “Do you ever miss home?”

Diluc couldn’t say.

His home had been shattered years ago.

“Sometimes.”

“Then you understand me,” you murmur, kissing your lips against the rim of your empty glass.

“What do you miss the most?” Diluc inquires. His eyes search your own as if you hold the answer to the fragments of forgotten memories he still contains. He seems curious and almost fond of you. You don’t really know what to say at first.

“Everything. Is that bad?”

“Not at all,” he says quietly, stroking your cheek with a warm hand, “I have a feeling that you’re just as homesick as I.”

You hum at his answer, hazily nodding off at the counter. The highs and lows of the evening have spun into a deluded mess of extravagancies that never seem to have stopped dancing.

“Why don’t you go home then?” you whisper, leaning into his touch.

Diluc smiles. His smile reminds you of memories and lost answers.

“I can’t. Not anymore, at least.”

Just a simple something I had in mind for a Genshin otome game... I have 0 attention span, 0 time, and 0 knowledge to write and build a full-fledged 3D game with intricate stories, plot, and mechanics. This is just a simple visual novel with a streamlined plot and partial voices. You should be able to complete everything in like... 30 minutes long in total. Might be less, even.

There are no wrong answers and the love interest can be changed anytime (just go back to main menu and select the character’s picture on the right side).

This is a super casual project.

Scripts are not proofread. Probably lots of grammar mistakes.

Novel format without narration (full dialogs).

There are no actual sprites, just official art and something akin to a speech bubble to cater to the characters’ changes in ‘expression’.

There are voices, but only partial - mostly just grunts, chuckles, kisses, and stuff. I’m using JP voices EXCEPT for Itto because Max Mittelman is a gem. No, I will not add other languages' voice versions.

Sound cues and voices are quite important for this game so I recommend using headphones.

Depending on when you open the game (morning, afternoon, nighttime, midnight), your currently selected love interest might greet you differently.

To reiterate, there are no wrong answers.

Selecting all talk/act options for a character will unlock a small event where they'll give you unique gifts.

I lowkey have so many ideas on how to expand on this in terms of gameplay and options but let’s be real here it probably won’t happen lol why can’t my brain be this creative when it comes to work

diluc with his buff arms cradling you close, using his pyro vision to warm your body and entangling his legs with yours so you won't get cold feet under the blanket. he's content to stay like this forever if you let him, and nothing else but your command will get him to move from this position.

dainsleif pulling you close and can't stop himself from staring into your eyes, a galaxy of stars that he swears to protect so it shines for eternity, even if he has to give his own life. his kisses are his silent promises to eradicate anything and anyone that stands in your path, and he's ready to give you thousands - no, millions of those, if you so wished.

and ayaka, shyly offering her lap so you can rest, her smooth fingers scratching your scalp as she plays with your hair, humming your favorite song and lullabies that help you relax. if looks could kill, thoma would have been dead on the floor the moment he stumbles in and accidentally disturbs the tranquil atmosphere. he's put on cleaning duty for the whole mansion for the rest of the month.
