not to post about a niche asmr series on main but the Dark Prince series subverting the "it's a fantasy setting so everyone is vaguely english" trope with Illyian being casually American and no one ever addressing it is iconic
#Dark Prince asmr#DPCU#from a production stadnpoint i understand it's probably to better distinguish voices#specifically Illyian from Michael since the others have their own verbal signatures but cmon#the ideal dnd party#two englishmen (diametrically opposed) - one english grandparent - one Midwestern American - and a nonverbal dude#isn't there also a southern character in one episode? Tobias?? what are the implications there#what determines the divines' accents. I'm so curious#unrelated but how the frick do you spell Illyian's name actually. most people agree it starts with an I and has a Y somewhere
