Have you seen all 5? I never got around to Crystal Skull and heard mixed reviews on it. I still want to get around to it at some point. I don't put a whole lot of weight in critics or other people's opinions when it comes to movies, shows, art. I find a lot of that is subjective to each person. I can't say I've seen the trailer to The Princess Bride. It was always on TV growing up and it became part of my childhood in a way. I can say the same for Top Gun and Mannequin. My parents love the hell out of 80s movies. If you don't mind watching it again we can put Parasite on sometime. That's kind of the way I feel when they turn comics into movies. Changes gotta happen for whatever reason. I try my best to respect the director's creative direction. I feel bad saying this because I really like Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci... but The Irishman was terrible. I fell asleep halfway through and tried to watch it again. It didn't hold my interest. I'm happy with buttered popcorn as my snack. Sometimes Junior Mints. What are yours?

Very much so. Can't the same be said about any form of media or entertainment? Like does your favorite book stay the same? It's cool to ask if you're curious Frannie. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know. We're just hanging and watching the movies. Mercedes is one of my closest friends. You should hang with her sometime if you haven't. She's awesome! What exactly is the Fabray reputation? Do you ever find that stressful to maintain?

@samevans-wmu Adventure… Have you seen any of the Indiana Jones movies? What about The Princess Bride? Isn’t Parasite that one movie which won best picture some years back? I haven’t seen it but it’s on the list! There are loads of book to film adaptations! I’ve always hear people complaining about how much they change. Some even rage out about it. Ever seen one you wanted to chuck your popcorn at?

Mine changes from day-to-day! Right now I’m gonna say all the Lord of the Rings movies! Mercedes and I working our way through them today. All 12 hours! Is everything okay back home? It’s not because of the pink hair is it?

Yes to the Indiana Jones movies but a no to The Princess Bride. Part of me got so excited at the name of the movie and was a little disappointed by the trailer. Is the movie any good? Parasite is...quite different to all of the fantasy or adventure films I've watched before. It's a lot darker. It's always risking turning a beloved book into a movie, but even if there are millions of mistakes made in the movie, I still appreciate being able to see something from my imagination turn into real life. The worlds from the book come alive and it's so magical to see. How about you, hmm? What's the worst film you've ever seen? And what's your favourite movie snack?

Does your favourite movie depend on your mood? The time of year? Who you're watching it with? That sounds like quite an intense but incredible 12 hours. I'm not sure I'd be able to sit still for so long without some kind of movement break, personally, so full respect to you both. Hopefully you've planned to bring nibbles with you. The dorm will be totally empty all weekend if you do need. Mercedes can totally use my bed if she's want...unless, you know, it's that kind of marathon and she'll be sharing with you and that's totally none of my business. I'm absolutely stopping talking now. Everything is more than okay back at home. My Papa gets a little suspicious if he doesn't catch up with us both while we're at college. I think he suspects we're wreaking havoc everywhere or burning down the Fabray reputation here. And he just misses our company. I hope you have a great weekend, Sammy!

Been reading webcomics on Webtoon and tapas! Here are some thoughts :

- Tripp by KotaBlickie

I found this comic through the Parasomnia OCT! When I figured out that one of the judges has an original comic of their own I had to check it out.. and it does not disappoint HOHOO I love me some space adventures. The characters are so fresh and lively! With a non-binary mc!!! :D

- The Weekly Roll by CME-T

I’m trying to get into DND at some point and this comic really brings into perspective how being in a campaign is! Its humor is so snarky and the helmet Beckett guy is hilarious. the comments had people referencing Monty Python. It feels at home…

- Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell by unfins

I remember reading this years ago and I just finished it… the serious plot that’s right there with the overpowering comedy is something I fall for because the expressions/jokes in it made me audibly laugh so many times. Plus I love demons and the designs are sick.

- Don’t Worry Teri Blokhin by Bioatomic

I gotta say this is that one webcomic that made me motivated to create my own. I’ve been following this comic for a long time and seeing new updates come in makes my day! The object heads are S-tier. I love EVERYONE in this comic wtf, especially Sputnik. Also Gram. he’s a scummy asshole but I can’t not love a believable character. The depth put in the characters is so cool to see because learning how things are connected is the most satisfying part of stories for me. I can tell there’s so much in store for this world and it’s inspiring.

- Sparks by Revel

This is such a cute comic I just started to read! (despite its mature themes lol) the banquet scene near the beginning is so warm and the dynamic between the humans and satyrs is so interesting. The world-building is so easy to follow and the little chibi pages explaining how magic worked are so cute and informative!! Plus the royalty and fruitiness going on is 10/10. When I realized that the comic was only starting after reading deep into it made me so excited!

- TRINITY by stillindigo

Characters are SOO cool…. dystopian class conflict stories are the best because you can have that Sleek and seemingly Perfect but controlling government setting and that more chaotic and rough underground setting that creates that SCRUMPTIOUS contrast between characters. So awesome…. & I love Frannie and her dad they are so adorable!

I think from all the inspiration here I’ve gathered I’m going to finally write out a structure of what my webcomic is going to be like since I recently changed up a plot point. It's called plantverse!

I’ll probably never find a stable upload schedule in the next few years but the leisure in it is the best part :) doing something of my own will… crazy.. My art below!

I might follow up on this with other webcomics I've read!
