Tickle me pink, im curious about the origin of my face word, ‘fuck’. Could you enlighten me on it? As the internet has so many different version I don’t know what to believe!! 😂😂

What I was referencing was the claim that fuck was a word formed through an acronym which I heard was “fornication under consent of the king” and ofc I lost it bc that’s funny as hell...bc I was like well...america doesn’t have a king, can’t fuck now i guess don’t have a king to get consent from

But i did some further research and unfortunately, as fun as fuck being an acronym is, it’s not the actual root. Bc that’d be way too convenient and fun of course. Etymology isn’t allowed to be that fun. It’s like derived from old German or something, like so much of English. 

I prefer the more funny explanation however :)
