just counted again, and I have 38 books left on my 2023 TBR list (39 if you count the one I'm currently reading). that's a lot better than I thought (last time I counted it was 46 or something?), and I'm hopeful that as long as I don't use the library too much (as in, don't request another 6 weeks' worth of books) I can get through it!
