ugh I have such a CONCEPT about the indoctrinated footsoldiers of an Imperialist Space Alien Regime, plus their lieutenant/team dad (nice guy, minus the war crimes), who accidentally cause their side to fail in their attempt to conquor Earth. So obviously, the whole squad has to go undercover as a regular human family while waiting on further orders from above.

Only... wait. They're integrating into human society. They're starting to actually care about petty neighbourhood squabbles and high school drama. They're making friends??? And along the way, they're piecing together that a) the Empire is pretty fucking awful, tbh; b) ....wow, propaganda lied to us about. A Lot. (and we didn't ask more questions because we didn't want to know and that's really fucked up, holy shit); and c) ohfuck the next phase of the invasion is on its way and we actually kinda like humanity now oh god what can we do to stop this

Anyway, I have been mulling it for so long and ONE DAY it will be written. One day.
