#my post#screencap#carmen sandiego 2019#cs 2019 trivia#backgrounds#plus location IDs (or best guesses thereof) in the alt text!#edit: despite working at the Interpol bureau ID'd in S1 as being in Paris#Devineaux does /not/ look to have actually moved to Paris bc (as per S2E10) he shaves off his post-island beard in the same bathroom#as the one from which the Cleaners kidnapped him - which was def in Poitiers. so he IS making the 2h commute to/from Paris#which i suppose would at least have given him lots of time to think about how to use those shipping records to find VILE? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#also i've been sticking all the location/reference/nifty details i've picked up in the 'cs 2019 trivia' tag#for anyone else who likes playing 'Name That Landmark' when watching the show XDD#nixariel

#my post#screencap#carmen sandiego 2019#cs 2019 trivia#backgrounds#plus location IDs if you click!#also i've been sticking all the location/reference/nifty details i've picked up in the 'cs 2019 trivia' tag#for anyone else who likes playing 'Name That Landmark' when watching the show XDD#also although ivy references dona marta (which does include the steepest favela in rio) when she and zack are looking for le chevre#carmen flies off in the wrong direction for them to be in the santa marta favela#nor does it look big enough to accommodate the chase scenes from before and after finding VILE's mine#technically horto would be the best match based on where carmen ends up relative to the christ-the-redeemer statue#but again: too small#yet rocinha is also roughly in that direction (if about twice the distance away) and is the biggest/most famous favela#so i suspect that's what the art crew was going for#nixariel#oh. apparently they're not showing up on mobile? welp. okay then i guess the IDs are desktop-only :\ but they are there at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

#my post#screencap#carmen sandiego 2019#cs 2019 trivia#backgrounds#plus location IDs (or best guesses thereof) if you click!#so technically there should be a 'plus lyon' in there somewhere bc that last building bears a suspicious resemblance to interpol's real HQ#which is in lyon - NOT paris - but the show clearly stated it as paris so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#(lyon is about 450 km from paris too so this is a Not Insignificant distance we're talking about here)#also the casablanca dig site looks kind of like the volubilis ruins near meknes#but that's about 270 km away so again: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#the archaeological digs actually in/just outside of casablanca look to be more pleistocene epoch (early stone age) than roman arches#aaaanyway#this show is just so darn pretty#also i've been sticking all the location/reference/nifty details i've picked up in the 'cs 2019 trivia' tag#for anyone else who likes playing 'Name That Landmark' when watching the show XDD#nixariel#oh. apparently they're not showing up on mobile? welp. okay then i guess the IDs are desktop-only :\ but they are there at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
