Here's how I think FLCL: Progressive and FLCL: Alternative should've been made

FLCL: Progressive – Set several years after FLCL: Classic in which we see Naota getting ready to graduate high school, just when he thinks he has his life figured out here comes Haruko who is still on her crusade to get Atomsk because Naota was the closest she ever came to him.

FLCL: Alternative – This story goes back several years before the events of FLCL: Classic in which we see the story of how Amarao met Haruko for the first time and how she affected him throughout the years.

And that's how I'd handle Progressive and Alternative, thank you for your time

Me and FunkBob are back at it again! Here is the eighth installment of our Toonami Lineup drawing! If you're new to these FunkBob and I draw the main character to each show new to Toonami since it's [adult swim] rebirth and arrange 5-7 when they've built up. We divvy up who does the pencil sketches and then I digitally ink and color them. We've been working on these more as a group and this should make the next several drawing move much more smoothly. Where's Naota?

As excited as I am about "FLCL: Grunge", I fear it carries one strike against it before it even airs. It's the same problem that plagued "Progressive" and "Alternative" before it.

Naota has appeared briefly in eye-catches and end sequences, but we never find out what happened to him after TOS. We last saw him as a middle-schooler, engaged in standard bickering with his friends in a town that had presumably gone back to normal. Or had it? (twang)

We never found out how the kid made out in the considerable number of years that have apparently passed since. Is he still in Mabase, or did he leave? Has he had anymore misadventures with Haruko/Raharu? How was he affected, if at all, by his brief possession by Atomsk? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's wondering and who feels like a truly comprehensive successor to TOS would answer this question.

Haruko is actually pregnant here. And it seems that her shirt can't cover her belly anymore. Could she be having more than one? She seems to be taking a liking to it. Is anyone looking at her? I acknowledge getting mad at a new revival of Fooly Cooly at this point is like getting mad at the brick wall someone threw your dvd box set at. I still hate them though...

Remember episode 4? the intentionally unsettling episode where Haruko replaced Naota's dad with basically a hitachi 'personal message' wand version of him? and would just, us it in front of Naota?
