I've seen several people comment on Richard's apparent bad mood during the rehearsal and I'd like to add my five cents.
Personally, I don't think Richard was in a bad mood as such but more just concentrating on the technical side of the rehearsal, and a bit annoyed that some things weren't how they should be. He went back to his backstage corner a couple of times to speak to someone - it looked like he was unhappy with his in-ear monitors since he even took one of them out like twice only to put it back in a bit later. There was also one moment where he looked unhappy with some of the crew/techs in his backstage corner because he sort of nodded in their direction and then towards the stage a couple of times like they were meant to do something but didn't.
Ultimately, I think it's important to remember that while the rehearsal gets presented as an 'exclusive LIFAD show', at the end of the day it's still a rehearsal. It's their first time testing a new(ish) show in front of a real audience and obviously that needs to be their main focus. Stage antics, interactions and having fun can all wait until later, when the show runs smoothly as it should and they don't have to worry about it. The more they focus on getting everything up to their standards now, the more fun they can have later.
