Mario Legacy Challenge: 1978

Last year, Jumpman's job made him become the mascot for his basketball team. Now let's see how things continue with the Marios.

One night early in the year, Pauline wakes up from a nightmare so Jumpman comforts her.

Pauline works on her movement skill by wandering in the hallway.

Lady and her father Nico go to an art festival (Romance Festival in-game), which Lady is probably interested in due to her art lover trait.

The goal of this festival is to paint, so Lady starts working on a painting.

Meanwhile, Nico orders a drink.

When he's done drinking, he goes to join his daughter. He's probably giving her some ideas for what to do for the rest of the painting. (Doesn't really look like a painting tbh.)

Now it's done. Even a stranger came to look at it.

Before leaving, Lady eats some food at the festival.

Keegan Barron (who was Jumpman's neighbor for a short while before he moved in with Lady) has asked Jumpman's friend Regan on a date. I think they end up going on one date but nothing significant ever happens after it. And there's also the fact that Regan is like 50 years older than Keegan...

A particularly loud party is happening. Even after Jumpman knocks on the door and complains about the noise, the music still continues.

Pauline is tired but unable to sleep due to the continuing music. She's so angry, she throws a tantrum in front of Emmalyn's door, but of course, this doesn't actually do anything.

After hours, the music has finally stopped, so Pauline is able to get some sleep.

Lady manages to get to the branching part of her career and joins the stylist branch.

At some point in the year, the Marios go visit the Arthurs. For a recap, they are Lady's sister Luigeena, her husband Tony, and their two children (twin toddlers) Marianne and Luigeena. Yes, that's a repeated name (and Lady's name is also Pauline just like her daughter's). The Marios previously lived with them until Pauline became an infant.

Pauline spends some time with her cousins.

Jumpman plays chess with Luigeena. This is something they have done on several occasions, as Jumpman has known Luigeena since 1964 and they have often played chess together. This is also Jumpman's main way of improving his logic skill.

This just leaves Lady and Tony, who are having a casual conversation. Back when Lady first moved in with the Arthurs, she and Tony didn't get along at all, but they've since learned to get along better and even became friends.

Jumpman teaches Pauline numbers.

Jumpman's job as a team mascot leaves him feeling tense, so near the end of the year, he quits. He might have liked his job more if they didn't constantly make him wear that ridiculous costume. He joins the retail employee part-time job, although he's still looking for other potential jobs.

Jumpman pretty much spends most of the year with his family.
