4am thought but I always think it's hilarious, if a little exhausting, that there are 4 million different posts trying to trace parallels between Lucy Gray, Sejanus and Snow and Katniss, Peeta and Gale. Y'all, it's never gonna be a perfect fit. There's a little bit of all three of them in the TBOSAS main cast. There's probably a little bit of them in everyone.

Look, the THG kids all stand for very metaphorical things, like hope, compassion, optimism / trauma & ptsd, being forced to play by others' rules to survive / indignation, anger, doing whatever it takes to survive/win.

You LITERALLY can't pin them down to one character each bc all of them, even Snow, are children traumatized by war, and those emotions are warring inside every single one of them. Everyone has moments of fear, of compassion, of anger. It's a really freaking great choice bc it means these characters aren't just there to be failed versions of the original series' protagonists. They stand on their own.
