ooo i want to hear about "why did i make chuuya trans in 1999"

one of the few wips which has an outline actually !! the "why did i make chuuya trans in 1999" wip title came from him being ftm in the fic. it's slightly plot relevant. slightly the fic's time and setting and overall plot is inspired by the movie "10 things i hate about you", and it is, in fact, set in 1999 (at an international school in yokohama) snippet

Shirase ducks down right as a carefully crafted paper airplane flies right into the chalkboard—a stupid message written on it in crayon, or pen—but the handwriting is so bad that it looks like it came straight out of a kindergarten. Chuuya sighs and is the only one that gets up, walking over and picking up the paper airplane, then turning to look at the class. He hears a snicker. His eyes narrow slightly. The one who’s snickering (and attempting to hide it)  is the brunette who asked him out the other day. That prick. He throws it, and—  “OW!” Dazai falls right out of his chair while Chuuya just grins. If he gets detention, fucking worth it.
