Guys, listen up.
I’ve done more research on ex-Christian perspectives and I’ve found a pretty significant emotional component.
I was only taught about the intellectual component. The emotional component needs to be addressed too. 
The emotional component is usually:
Being mad at God
Ostracism or injustice within the church
Frustration with organized religion
Disappointment in the church
