Where the light goes

The sun, once glorious, and great.

Held up the blue sky, till dark pushed it away.

It's intangible light, pure gold, true wealth,

Gave hope, gave life, gave day, gave health.

Pure joy, in distant form, kept beyond arms reach.

So grand and so powerful, in space it must keep.

The gap between us is so grand, yet I feel everything of you, feel all.

No matter how far I get from you, I still can feel your warmth.

Yet, I'm sorry for all the happiness, for others that you hold.

Since you're forced with all your power, to live in a space, so alone, so cold.

I can't imagine how it is, to live as you live, with all your history, that only you know.

But one thing is for certain, that I know how it feels when you leave and the light goes.
