speaking of zombie-Teru! the fevers he gets when he's defeated aren't "psychosomatic". they're sometimes caused by his mental state tanking, but they're not "fake". they're caused by his body trying to do too many things at once and his immune system losing the battle with zombie disease for a hot minute while his health rebuilds itself. when Teru gets too stressed out, he gets zombie brain fog and has to seclude himself for a while.

Black Vinegar's delinquent gang is a raider gang in this au #and Teru goes and helps them right #he's their secret weapon #their shadow leader #he brings back luxuries to his town #but dang does that put him in a precarious position. using fear and violence to keep himself at the top of the social ladder #everyone spoils him to keep him happy while consoling themselves with the knowledge that he'll slip up and die someday #WAAUGH Teru. Teru. I'm not really changing that much from canon it all just falls into place #ANYWAY SO YEAH when he overextends himself and ends up feeling himself losing his grip on his own brain? terrifying stuff!!!#absolutely horrifying for Teru! he CANNOT behave like a zombie he HAS to be better than that he HAS TO BE SMART
