#every single strip. i don't have to pay attention to the visual element at all because it's the exact same every time

Hi! I like your commentary and taste on the books and shows you talk about, so may I ask, other than Natsume Yuujinchou, what other anime/manga do you enjoy and why? Sorry for being nosy! Thanks for listening! 🐰💛
sorry to disappoint you, anon, but i think natsume is the first manga i've read? graphical modes of storytelling are generally difficult for me to follow, so i don't read a lot of comic books, graphic novels, or the like. it takes so much effort generally for me to figure out a) who's speaking, b) what order i'm supposed to read the bubbles/panels in (even in western forms that are generally left to right), c) what exact action is happening, etc., etc., that often it's just not worth it to me. the only reason i'm reading the natsume manga is because i've already seen the show and thus can use my preexisting knowledge of the premise, characters, and plotlines as cheat codes to follow along with the manga.
the only other anime i've seen that's coming to mind is cowboy bebop, which i watched long enough ago that i don't really remember much specific about it except that i thought it was really good lol. that one would be fun to do a rewatch of.
so yeah i can't really help you here haha. but i'd love some recommendations from others, especially on anime series! not so much on manga because as stated before it's not my preferred medium.
#an anime i've been meaning to watch is one of the FMA ones but i forget which one so i would have to look that up#i'm such a newbie to this whole scene that i don't even know what the -yuu is doing on the end of natsuyuu#is it just an abbreviation of natsume yuujinchou?#asks#anon#i'm making a distinction here between comic books/graphic novels/manga and comic strips#the latter tend to be very straightforward visually so those i can handle#but of course a big strength of manga etc. is how flexible it can be with the layout and that's the part that is hard for me#answering this made me realize that possibly one of the reasons i love dinosaur comics so much is that the visuals stay the same in#every single strip. i don't have to pay attention to the visual element at all because it's the exact same every time#the only thing that trips me up is that tumblr sometimes uploads the panels in the wrong order#but i don't even notice because the pictures are in the wrong order...i notice because the dialogue doesn't make sense haha
