Give me the hot Elisabeth and Rebecca takes!
Sure thing! (Oh boy this turned out long.)
Elisabeth disclaimer: this is purely based on vibes. I have some knowledge of the historical background, but it’s not really my field of study.
Rebecca disclaimer: this is my field of study and I have very strong opinions on it, though I do not claim that I am always correct. I do however maintain that I could back up many of my claims if I had the time to do proper textual analysis and read secondary sources.
I genuinely think Elisabeth (the musical as it was written) is a masterpiece. The framing device, the way certain melodies mirror each other to foreshadow events or indicate character development — it’s amazing! Plus, the music is ridiculously good. 100/10. I love this musical.
Most stagings/recordings of Elisabeth since 2012 though? More than questionable. Levay/Kunze musicals in general appear to be following a pattern where the original production and a maybe one or two productions after it are full of nuance and complexity, only to have that complexity broken down and reduced over time. That is no fault of the musical itself, but a worrying trend of not trusting audience to be able to handle nuance and trying to make every element of a production more palatable and easier to handle. I hate it. Both the 1992 and the 2005 Wien productions have so much to recommend them (I can’t speak for the German productions but would humbly turn over the questions to more Elisabeth-versed mutuals like @fitzrove), but it all seems to be going downhill.
HOT TAKE: I think bringing on more and more “Broadway-sounding” performers to do both Elisabeth and Rebecca is a mistake. For me, Levay/Kunze shows have a very specific sound to them, a sound that fits into European musical theatre and makes sense for when and where they were created. Hiring almost exclusively people with a way more modern, belt-y sound is not a direction I personally like for these shows. Don’t get me wrong, this is not about any specific performers, it’s about trying to change the sound of these shows into something more akin to a big Broadway musical and that really doesn’t work for me. Both Elisabeth and Rebecca are so idiosyncratic in how they sound and how they’re written, trying to make them fit into a mould they don’t belong in does them a disservice. (Looking at you, VBW.)
Maybe not a hot take: but I love the 2005 Wien production of Elisabeth so much. It was my first exposure to the musical and remains my go-to cast album. It certainly has faults and I totally understand why people might gravitate towards different productions, but since I haven’t listened to the full 1992 Wien and 2001 Essen (?) productions yet, I can only compare it to 2012.
REBECCA HOT TAKE: Michael Kunze has stated that he views Rebecca as first and foremost a love story and I think he is WRONG. Daphne du Maurier herself would probably think he was wrong (seeing as she hated the story being described as a romance). This is a core problem with Rebecca das Musical. There are many things to love (Danny, Danny, Beatrice, and did I mention Danny?), but in my opinion, the whole “this is a great love story” angle does it a huge disservice. Let’s make it weirder! Let’s make it as bleak as it fucking is! (Probably not a crowd pleaser but let me have my fun).
Rebecca the musical could have done with some serious editing.
The Magdeburg production of Rebecca, which I am aware was not very accessible to a lot of people, might be one of the best productions of Rebecca ever. Kerstin Ibald absolutely knocked it out of the park with her Mrs Danvers and gave her all the nuance and emotion we so desperately crave. Her Danny is so broken, so lost. Patrick Stanke’s Maxim strikes the perfect balance between the haughty upperclass Englishman who takes kind of a fatherly tone with his young wive, and the haunted, jealous husband who absolutely did murder his first wife. Also in this production Maxim and Ich finally have some chemistry! This production’s Ich (Sibylle Lambrecht, I think) has such a great character arc and it is completely believable that she is into Maxim, even (or especially??) after his confession. Plus, the set design was amazing!!!
More Rebecca hot takes that I’ve definitely brought up before: I know we all like to write Ich as a repressed queer woman who ends up not being all that into Maxim, but honestly, she probably is very attracted to him. We can speculate about the why, but like, it is strongly implied that they have sex for the first time shortly after Maxim’s confession. She wants him.
I maintain and will die on this hill that making Danny sing “Ich liebte sie, doch sie hat mich verraten” is a mistake. I mean, yes please let Danny tell us she loved Rebecca, but come on. Danny doesn’t lose her faith in Rebecca. She doesn’t stop idolising Rebecca. Whatever her reasons for setting Manderley on fire may be it’s not that she thinks Rebecca betrayed her. I don’t even think Danny thinks highly enough of herself to even consider feeling betrayed by Rebecca. Rebecca is god to her.
I definitely have more, but this post is really long and I’m running out of steam… Hope you enjoyed!

Can i request starting a family with riddle rosehearts for the event pls
I'm so sorry for the late response! Of course!
A New Chapter
Having children was never a decision Riddle even considered making in his adult life. In fact, his view of the future before his overblot was rather bleak.
He would graduate from NRC, become a doctor, spend his life working and then die. It's what his mother would have wanted.
Riddle never thought he would be so glad he caught someone stealing a tart in his life, but he was. If it weren't for that, his inevitable overblot likely would've been worse.
Now with his future opened wide and his mind mostly free from his mother's control, Riddle found himself settling into a life that filled him happiness and contentedness every single day.
Marrying you was something he did not hesitate to do. He loved you so deeply there was no possible way to measure it.
Of course, the topic of children was inevitable given it was the "norm". Both of you were interested in the idea, though it wasn't high on your priority list until much later in life. Only then did you begin to properly consider the possibilities and requirements of such a thing.
The thought of raising children with you made Riddle's heart soar, though there was a gnawing worry in the pit of his stomach.
Even now, years after his overblot, he was prone to losing his temper. It wasn't nearly as bad as it was wien he was a teenager, but he still lost himself to a rageful explosion every now and then.
A million what if's began to run through his mind at the speed of light. What if he lost his temper at his child? What if he inherited the obsessive controlling nature of his mother? What if his child had magic and one day overblotted because of him?
Seven, his child would hate him. You would he so disappointed in him. You, the calm lagoon to his raging seas. You, who was patient and loving even when he was at his worst, were quick to dispell his worries.
Riddle was quick to anger, but he had learned many healthy ways to cope. Explosions were few and far between and never directed at you or those he cared for.
Your words, your love, caused Riddle's doubts to dissipate and quickly be replaced by unyielding confidence. With sparkling eyes and his head held high he proudly informed you that he was going to be the greatest father he could possibly be.
Riddle didn't care if his child was adopted or related to him by blood, he knew he would love them fiercely all the same. Just thinking about it made excited butterflies flit about inside him.
"I can't wait to begin this new chapter with you, my rose."
......................................
A/N: Thank you so much for reading! Sorry if it isn't exactly what you wanted, but I hope you enjoyed!

Liella! Ani-PASS Plus #13 Another Cover Story Interview — Misaki Nako, Yabushima Akane, and Yuina
[This interview was published in Ani-PASS Plus #13 magazine, released Dec 5, 2024.]
The school idol group Liella!, was born from Love Live! Superstar!!. With the third season of the anime currently airing to great acclaim, we spoke with three members: Misaki Nako (1st generation, Arashi Chisato), Yabushima Akane (2nd generation, Yoneme Mei), and Yuina (3rd generation, Wien Margarete). They shared their passionate thoughts about the series, its songs, their fellow members, and even the relationships among the cast.
Here’s “Another Cover Story” that delves into the “real” (seiyuu/3D) sides of Liella!♪
Interviewer: “At the end of October, a release event for the Love Live! Superstar!! Season 3 OP and ED theme songs were held at Sonic City Large Hall. Those performances are still available to watch on YouTube, aren’t they?”
Misaki Nako: “Yes, that’s right. It’s a little embarrassing knowing the footage is out there for anyone to see (laughs).”
Yuina: “Having it uploaded to YouTube means that many people from all over the world can watch it. I felt nervous on the day because I wanted it to be an opportunity to spread the appeal of Liella! even further.”
Yabushima Akane: “There are probably people who’ll watch the footage and think the songs are great, and others who’ll become interested in the performances. Since we never know what might spark someone’s interest in Liella!, we stayed focused and worked hard.”
Misaki Nako: “Since it was a release event, all the songs were being performed for the first time. Up until now, we’ve taken on many challenging formations and choreographies, but with ‘青春HOPPERS’ (Seishun HOPPERS), the coupling song from the Season 3 OP single ‘Let’s be ONE,’ we tried rock dance for the first time. We were really focused during the actual performance.
Also, I personally had a lot of fun with the megaphone performance in the ED theme song ‘DAISUKI FULL POWER.’”
Yuina: “It might just be me, but when we were practicing the choreography for ‘DAISUKI FULL POWER,’ I found it much harder than I expected, and it threw me off at first.
In the megaphone part of the performance, at the beginning, no one has a megaphone, but during the chorus, Mei-chan (Yoneme Mei) throws her megaphone, and I catch it in mid-air. We did this for both performances during the release event.
During practice, I kept dropping it, but during the live shows, I caught it perfectly every single time! Unfortunately, that part isn’t shown in the footage (laughs).”
Yabushima Akane: “That’s a privilege for those who attended in person (laughs). For those who watched the event online and became interested, I hope you’ll come to the venue for the next opportunity.”
Interviewer: “How did the audience react to the debut of the new songs?”
Yabushima Akane: “I could feel how much everyone was looking forward to it. The moment the intro of the first song started playing, the audience let out this huge cheer, like ‘We’ve been waiting for this!’ It made me so happy.”
Misaki Nako: “At first, the stage curtain was down, and we were standing behind it, so I felt a bit restless—it was such a strange feeling. Even with in-ear monitors on, I could feel the audience’s energy through the curtain. They were calling out our names and making calls along with the songs; the level of excitement was incredible.”
Yuina: “We performed the rock dance for ‘Seishun HOPPERS’ during the interlude, and it was so challenging that we kept practicing individually even during short breaks. When we performed it for the first time, with the lighting complementing the atmosphere, the vibe of the venue shifted dramatically.
I could feel the audience reacting like, ‘Wow! Liella! is really doing something awesome!’ That made me feel like all the hard work paid off, and it got me even more hyped while dancing.”
Misaki Nako: “Since the two coupling songs are so contrasting, we performed ‘Seishun HOPPERS’ followed by ‘Within a Dream’ (the coupling song from ‘DAISUKI FULL POWER’). After everyone got so excited with ‘Seishun HOPPERS,’ transitioning to the gentle and tender vibe of ‘Within a Dream,’ with lyrics like ‘Even in dreams, we can meet,’ was a challenge for us.
While singing, we were trying hard to catch our breath, and I wondered if the audience could keep up with the sudden shift in mood.”
Interviewer: “Both of these songs bring out Liella!’s charm. Now, with the third season of the anime reaching its climax, all the members (characters/2D) are so captivating. Could you share what you think are the standout points of the member you’re responsible for, and any similarities you feel you share with them?”
Yabushima Akane: “Mei-chan, in Episode 3, during Wakana Shiki-chan’s center song ‘Special Color,’ was there to support Shiki-chan. She said things like, ‘I know Shiki can definitely do it!’
If it were me, I don’t think I’d be able to say something like that. If I saw someone struggling, I’d probably say something like, ‘You don’t have to force yourself.’
But Mei-chan realized what Shiki-chan truly wanted deep down. She wasn’t just looking at the surface—she saw right into Shiki-chan’s heart, understood her, and was able to give her that push forward.
That’s something I really admire about her as a person.”
Interviewer: “Mei-chan’s way of speaking can be a bit blunt, but she’s a wonderful person who really understands others’ feelings, isn’t she?”
Misaki Nako: (Looking at Yabushima) “You’re actually pretty similar to her!”
Interviewer: “Oh, really? Yabushima-san gives off such a warm and gentle vibe, so I thought she was the opposite of Mei-chan.”
Yuina: “Akane does have that gentle vibe, but she can be pretty sharp and direct when she needs to be (laughs).”
Misaki Nako: “Yeah, when she needs to say something, she’ll say it. Though her base is definitely kindness.”
Yabushima Akane: “My way of interjecting or calling things out might be similar to Mei-chan’s.”
Misaki Nako: “Yuina is always getting called out (by Yabu), right? (laughs). Not just with words, but with those cold glances too (laughs).”
Yuina: “That’s right (laughs). But even if she seems that way on the surface, behind the scenes, she’s incredibly kind. What you just described about Mei-chan is exactly how Akane-chan is.
She (Yabu) is very passionate, not just about Liella! as a whole, but about each individual member. She knows when to step in with encouragement and when to just quietly watch over someone. That’s why I have so much respect for her.”
Yabushima Akane: “Um… sorry… (embarrassed).”
Misaki Nako: “We really rely on you a lot!”
Interviewer: “So, what are Chii-chan’s (Arashi Chisato) standout points?”
Misaki Nako: “First off, she’s adorable! (laughs). Her very presence is so endearing. When I first saw Chii-chan’s visual design, I thought she was just going to be a sweet and innocent girl, but she’s so composed—it’s like, ‘How many lifetimes has she lived?’ (laughs).
She has this ability to look at things from a broad perspective, which feels very mature.
During the first season of the anime, Chii-chan was just a first-year high school student, so we could see her cute side. But as she moved up a grade and the underclassmen joined, she became even more dependable.
Since the third season started, though, she’s loosened up a bit and started having fun at the same level as everyone else. You can catch glimpses of her as a relatable high schooler.
She’s not just mature and reliable—that’s what makes her so charming. As for what we have in common… maybe just our hairstyles? (laughs).”
Yuina: “Everyone keeps saying, both about her looks and her personality, ‘Chii-chan is just like Nako.’ She’s someone who absolutely needs to be there for the group to come together. Misaki Nako is essential to Liella!, and everyone relies on her and gets so much help from her.”
Yabushima Akane: “She always keeps an eye on the big picture and has incredible insight. (Looks at Nako) Even though she acts like this.”
Misaki Nako: “That makes me so happy! Love you! ♥”
Yabushima Akane: “I think the way she creates this kind of atmosphere makes it easier for everyone to approach her and talk to her about anything. She’s so considerate.”
Yuina: “What I remember is when, as a rival to Liella!, I joined the group of nine Liella! members for their 3rd live tour. I didn’t know how close I should get to them or how to fit in. At one point, when I ended up sitting alone, Nako came over. She didn’t really say anything, but she sat down quietly next to me, and that made me so happy.
It felt like she was bringing everyone together.”
Misaki Nako: “From then on, Yuina would come flying over every time our eyes met (laughs). Speaking of which, what’s your favorite point about your Margarete-chan?”
Yuina: “Margarete-chan’s face (laughs).”
Yabushima Akane: “Everyone has something great about them (not just the faces), though!”
Yuina: “That’s true (laughs). In her debut during the second season, Margarete was always cool and didn’t show much expression—when she did, it was mostly smug faces.
But in the third season, her expressions have become so much more varied—she even makes faces that are practically comedic.
I especially love her angry face. It’s rare to see someone express their anger so honestly.
And then, if someone calls her ‘cute,’ she suddenly mumbles and turns bright red. That gap is so adorable. I love all her expressions!”
Interviewer: “Are there any ways in which you think Yuina is similar to her character?”
Yabushima Akane: “When I think about the gap between my first impression of Yuina and how I see her now, she’s actually quite similar to Margarete-chan. Both Margarete-chan and Yuina seemed a bit hard to approach at first. I remember thinking, ‘Can I really get close to her?’”
Misaki Nako: “It’s because she has such a beautiful aura.”
Yabushima Akane: “Yes, she has this beautiful aura, she’s so put together, and I thought she might be someone from a completely different world. Margarete-chan gives off the same impression at first, doesn’t she? She seems a bit refined and ladylike.
But once you spend time with her, you realize she laughs a lot. That’s something Yuina and Margarete-chan share.”
Misaki Nako: “And when she laughs, she always turns to show you her smiling face (laughs). Also, her sense of humor is pretty simple and childlike. She’ll immediately get excited about something that interests her, or she’ll run over to someone to start a conversation. Those are similar, too.”
Yabushima Akane: “And there’s a bit of a competitive streak in her as well.”
Misaki Nako: “If Margarete-chan is more of a tsundere, Yuina is all dere-dere (laughs). There’s also a gap between her live performances and how she is in daily life.
During performances, Yuina’s eyes completely change. She fully immerses herself in the world of the performance, and the audience gets drawn into that world, too.”
Yabushima Akane: “I think the most appealing thing about both of them is the charming gap they have.”
Yuina: “Thank you so much! (applauds).”
Interviewer: “It’s been about a year and a half since Yuina-san and Sakakura Sakura (Onitsuka Tomari’s seiyuu) joined as part of the 3rd generation, making Liella! an 11-member group. Could you share your thoughts on how things have changed since then?”
Misaki Nako: “With juniors joining the group, especially the Onitsuka sisters (Natsumi and Tomari), I feel like Aya Emori, who plays Natsumi, has grown even more into her role as an older sister.
Sakakura Sakura, who plays the younger sister, Tomari, started from a different position compared to Yuina, so I’m sure there were moments of uncertainty. But Aya naturally supported her, and their bond developed into something like a real sibling relationship.
Beyond that, seeing the 2nd generation members advising others during lessons is heartwarming. Even though there’s no strict division between senpai and juniors, the way they support each other is lovely to see.”
Yabushima Akane: “In terms of performances, we’ve explored genres we’d never encountered before, and we’ve gained songs that can only be expressed with 11 members. I feel like these songs are unique to this group, and I think they’ve helped bring in new people who’ve become interested in Liella! through one of them.”
Misaki Nako: “Our formations have also changed. From the outside, it might look like, ‘What are they even doing?’ (laughs).”
Yabushima Akane: “Yeah, the more complex formations and dance paths make it harder to move without bumping into each other (laughs).”Misaki Nako: “Even if we solve one problem, we end up bumping into each other somewhere else. For everything to come together and look clean, we need to calculate every movement carefully. There’s a lot to think about, but everyone actively shares their ideas and opinions, so I feel like we’re all growing individually.”
Interviewer: “And from the perspective of 3rd-generation member Yuina?”
Yuina: “I fully embrace being a junior (laughs). I lean into the fact that I’m a first-year student just a little. Everyone has already built up so much and put so much thought into things, which makes it easy for me to feel at home.
Spending time with Liella! is the most fun for me. Just meeting everyone during shoots or lessons is so much fun, and I often feel like, ‘Sorry for always being so loud!’ (laughs).
But I think that if I’m not having the most fun, it won’t come across to the audience. That’s why I want to enjoy my time with Liella! more than anyone and do my best to convey that joy to everyone watching us.
I’ll keep working hard so I can grow even more!”
Misaki Nako:
“As long as you’re having fun and laughing, that’s all that matters.”
Interviewer: “You have the face of an older sister there (laughs). Now, let’s talk about the music. First, what was your initial impression of the OP theme song, ‘Let’s be ONE’?”
Yabushima Akane: “Since we always record individually, it’s hard to imagine what the final version will sound like. It only feels complete when the voices of all 11 members come together, so at first, I just couldn’t wait to hear it with everyone’s voices.”
Interviewer: “When you learned about your assigned vocal parts, did you feel anything in particular?”
Yuina: “In the lines where Margarete-chan sings, ‘It’s not for something,’ and Tomari-chan follows with, ‘It’s because I just love it so much that I dream,’ I could sense their growth since meeting Liella!.
Originally, Margarete-chan’s goal was to win or to be the best, but now she can sing ‘It’s not for something’ because meeting everyone changed her. I felt so happy seeing that.
Tomari-chan, too, used to say things like ‘Dreams don’t fill your stomach,’ but now she sings, ‘It’s because I just love it so much that I dream.’
These two lines really show how much they’ve grown since meeting the nine members of Liella!, and I feel like their growth is packed into these lyrics.”
Yabushima Akane: “The solo parts really do seem tailored to each member’s character, don’t they?”
Interviewer: “It seems like reading the lyrics while considering the personalities of the characters and their stories would add another layer of enjoyment. Misaki-san, what do you think is the highlight of this song?”
Misaki Nako: “The chorus, with lines like ‘Even if we pass through the present, let’s make a promise: we’ll always be one,’ really captures the story of the third season of the anime.
The 11 members of Liella! are making separate choices now, but ultimately, they come together as one.
It’s not an overly upbeat, ‘let’s push through’ kind of song, but it conveys a burning passion from within. Since the third season is about taking on new challenges, I think that’s why this became the opening song.
I’m curious to know how people will feel when they hear it during the climax—I can’t wait to find out.”
Interviewer: “How about the ED theme song ‘DAISUKI FULL POWER’? This might be a bit of a tangent, but I feel like Liella! has a lot of songs overflowing with love.”
Misaki Nako: “Love, indeed! Speaking of this song, it reminds me of something from the release event. During the second verse, just before the chorus with the line ‘I want to deliver it with full power,’ Shibuya Kanon (CV: Date Sayuri) and I made a circle with our hands.
I think you can see it in the footage, but actually, behind the scenes, we were secretly holding hands where you couldn’t see (laughs).”
Yuina: “Oh, is this the first time you’re revealing this?”
Misaki Nako: “Yes, it is. There was some buzz about it on social media, but it was hidden by Keke-chan (CV: Liyuu), so it wasn’t visible (laughs).”
Akane Yabushima: (laughs) “The highlight of this song is how often the word ‘daisuki’ (I love you) appears. Words like that aren’t easy to say.
It’s a little embarrassing, and when you spend so much time with someone, you might assume your feelings are understood without saying them.
But listening to this song makes me realize how important it is to openly say things like ‘I love you’ or ‘thank you.’ It’s a valuable reminder.”
Interviewer: “I agree. The lyrics, filled with a spirit of challenge, are truly inspiring.”
Yuina: “Lines like ‘I won’t stop!’ or ‘If you question what’s normal, maybe you can achieve it’ feel so full of potential.
As humans, we all have our own struggles, and sometimes we might feel down when we’re alone. But when we come together, our energy surges and the lyrics reflect the bright future and possibilities that lie ahead. I think that’s so wonderful.”
Interviewer: “And ‘Bubble Rise’ is performed by the group Tomakanote, consisting of Kanon-chan, Margarete-chan, and Tomari-chan. It has a gentle impression, but what kind of feelings did you put into it?”
Yuina: “Bubble Rise is a song that holds special meaning for Margarete-chan because it helped her rediscover the joy of singing.
No matter how dark it gets, no matter how lonely she feels, or how big the obstacles she faces are, the song expresses the idea of not giving up and reaching out. I think Margarete-chan could feel this way because she met Kanon-chan and Tomari-chan.
But at the same time, it reflects Margarete-chan’s inner strength, which is beautifully woven into this smooth, gentle song.
When I sing it, I feel like Kanon-chan and Tomari-chan are softly singing to Margarete-chan, telling her, ‘It’s okay. You can do it.’
The mutual care and connection they share as they sing together are so wonderful.
No matter how many times I listen to this song, it always tugs tightly at my heart.”
Interviewer: “Special Color is a song where Shiki-chan took on the center role for the first time, showcasing a new side of her. Yabushima-san, as the voice of Mei-chan, who supports Shiki-chan, what are your thoughts?”
Yabushima Akane: “Since Shiki-chan is the center, it’s natural, but the performance has a lot of formations where Shiki-chan is surrounded by everyone. Watching that, I felt like the group was protecting her together.
However, being the center doesn’t mean Shiki-chan is always in the middle. For example, until the chorus line, ‘I’m the strongest—just reminding myself right now,’ she doesn’t have a solo part.
That’s why I think both the formations and the lyrics are designed to create a space where Shiki-chan doesn’t feel anxious. It’s as if the presence of everyone around her reassures her, both spatially and emotionally.”
Interviewer: “The formations seem to tie closely to the story, don’t they? Now, about the insert song from Episode 6, ‘絶対的LOVER’ (Zettaiteki LOVER), could you tell us about it?”
Misaki Nako: “This is the first song in the anime to focus on Keke-chan, so I hope everyone enjoys Episode 6. Keke-chan is delivering her love to everyone, and we’re performing with the feeling of, ‘We love you, Keke-chan!’ I think it’s a song filled with love.”
Yabushima Akane: “It’s packed with the feeling of, ‘We want to say, we love you, Keke-chan!’
”Yuina: “I really love this song. Not just this one, but Liella! has so many songs filled with love, so I hope everyone watches the anime and gives them a listen!”
3 Columns!
01
●Since we're talking about 'DAISUKI FULL POWER' (where 'daisuki' means 'love'), let’s talk about what you’re currently loving. Yabushima-san, what’s your favorite food?
Yabushima Akane: "My favorite food is pumpkin."
Interviewer: "What do you like about it?"
Yabushima Akane: "It’s nutritious, for one…"
Misaki Nako: "Very practical! (laughs)"
Yabushima Akane: "But it’s also cute in shape, and it’s delicious whether you make it into desserts or regular dishes."
Yuina: "True. Pumpkin is strong—it can handle anything!"
Yabushima Akane: "Plus, you can buy it year-round at the supermarket. That’s such a big advantage!"
Yuina: "That’s wonderful! (applauds) I’ll definitely grab some next time!"
Interviewer: "What’s your favorite way to prepare it?"
Yabushima Akane: "I love simmered pumpkin. I make it often at home."
Misaki Nako: "Very homey! My favorite food is noodles, but recently, I’ve been really into bamboo shoots."
Yuina: "Why is that?"
Misaki Nako: "I’ve always liked them, but in spring and autumn, when supermarkets are overflowing with bamboo shoots, I can’t resist. I especially love bamboo shoot rice.
When I make it at home, I usually cheat and use premade rice seasoning. But then I buy fresh bamboo shoots, cut them into big chunks, and add them in for an ‘extra bamboo’ touch—it feels so luxurious!
I highly recommend my ‘extra bamboo hack.’ Please try adding ‘extra bamboo’!"
Yuina: "Extra bamboo! I want to try that! My favorite food is white chocolate."
Misaki Nako: "That’s adorable!"
Yuina: "There aren’t that many white chocolate products out there, but now that winter is coming, there’s been a surge of white chocolate-themed treats.
It feels like my time has finally come! I’m so busy trying everything, but I’m incredibly happy about it."
Misaki Nako: "What kind of white chocolate do you like best?"
Yuina: "I like soft ones, like nama (fresh) chocolate. I never put chocolate in the fridge—I’m the type who prefers it at just the right softness, where it melts in your mouth. I absolutely refuse to bite into it!"
02
●The happiest moment from your activities in 2024
Yuina: "I feel happy all the time—like, constantly happy. But the moments when I feel incredibly happy are definitely when I’m performing live.
If I had to pick something specific from 2024, it would be when the third season of the anime started!
I had been looking forward to it so much, and when it finally began, watching my character perform with Liella! made me think, ‘Wow, this is happiness.’
But really, I’m happy all the time."
Misaki Nako: "Yeah, just being able to say, ‘I’m happy every day,’ feels like happiness in itself."
Yabushima Akane: "That’s so true."
Yuina: "That’s such a good point!"
Misaki Nako: "I moved to Tokyo from Kansai on my own, so I’m always feeling homesick and missing my family. But the members of Liella! have become like a family to me.
We spend so much time together, and just being with them gives me such a strong sense of reassurance."
Yabushima Akane: "Same here. When I started university, it was during the COVID pandemic, so everything was remote, and I had a hard time making friends.
But Liella! feels even closer than friends. It’s different from family, too, but..."
Misaki Nako: "It’s like we’ve created a whole new kind of relationship."
Yabushima Akane: "Exactly. Meeting people who become that kind of presence in your life is so rare, and I feel incredibly grateful for it."
Misaki Nako: "That makes me so happy. Normally, you’d think there might be some arguments or disagreements when people are this close, but even though we all say what we want to say, we’ve never had any super serious fights."
Yabushima Akane: "Maybe it’s because the balance of distance between us is just right."
Misaki Nako: "We don’t overstep boundaries, but at the same time, we’re not cold toward each other either. This isn’t specific to just 2024, but meeting Liella! has been the greatest happiness for me!"
03
●Ambitions for 2025
Yuina: "My ambition was for all of us to go overseas, and since we achieved that, next I’d love for us to do something like a cultural festival together.
It doesn’t have to be anything big—even something small and cozy would be fine. It’s like I want to relive our youth. The Liella! members are super close, and we have this fun, student-like vibe, so I think it’d be awesome to run booths together (laughs).
Of course, it’d be amazing if all our fans could come too!"
Misaki Nako: "I want us to have a tako-pa (takoyaki party) together!"
Yuina: "Yes, please! Everyone making takoyaki together and eating it sounds so fun."
Misaki Nako: "Oh, and not for a shoot or anything—just a totally private party!"
Yuina: "That’s a great idea too!"
Misaki Nako: "When I went to Shanghai, I was so touched by how many people told us, ‘I wish you could come to where I live!’ So, while I’d love to visit more places across Japan, going overseas again would be amazing too."
Yabushima Akane: "There are fans who even cross oceans to come to our live shows. It’d be so wonderful if we could grow big enough to go and meet them ourselves!"
Misaki Nako: "It doesn’t even have to be a live show—something like a meet-and-greet or an event where we can interact with everyone would be great too."
Yabushima Akane: "I’d love that. It’d be amazing if all 11 of us could go together."
Misaki Nako: "I hope we get more opportunities like that next year."
Yabushima Akane: "Then, let’s make world domination our ambition for 2025!"
Nako & Yuina: "That’s it!"

It is very common to introduce quantum physics in an historical context. Though there are advantages to this, it is a problem that many of the stories that have become central to the physics lore are mere pseudo-histories far detached from the real events. It is about time that we stop uncritically copying these stories and instead make an effort to present the development of quantum physics as it actually was. This paper deals with one of the most common myths in quantum history, the one about the ultraviolet catastrophe and how it motivated Planck's introduction of quantum physics. On closer inspection it turns out this story has the time-line completely turned on its head. The ultraviolet catastrophe was first discussed several years after Planck published his radiation law so it played no role in his motivation. Instead Planck was concerned with finding a theoretical derivation of the law for blackbody radiation. This law was first thought to be Wien's radiation law, but when new data disagreed, Planck came up with his own law that fitted the data. Planck's radiation law first came about as an elaborate fit to data and to derive it he found no other way than to use statistical mechanics and divide the energy that was to be distributed on the atomic oscillators into packages hf so that he could count the number of ways to distribute this energy. Planck did not consider this a quantization, but merely a mathematical trick to be able to calculate the entropy of the oscillators.

Q1. What was your reaction when you first heard about the Asia tour?
µ's has already ended its live activities, but I was happy to be asked to participate in the first joint Asia tour of the series. This will be the first major overseas appearance for µ's since "Love Live! µ's Fan Meeting in Shanghai ~Talk & Live~" in 2016. The time I spent with the fans and the members was intense, and I remember it being a very enjoyable overseas performance.
Q2. What kind of image do you have of the host country of the Shanghai show?
I think Shanghai is a city where "tradition" and "modernity" coexist. I've visited several times, and each time I feel its evolution and energy. I've had many opportunities to visit China this year, and I continue to make surprising discoveries. This will be my first time in Shanghai in several years, so I'm looking forward to receiving new stimulation and making good memories.
Q3. Is there anything you would like to achieve or try on the tour?
I don't get to see foreign fans very often, so I feel their enthusiasm even more. I'm glad when they call out loudly and sing with us. So this time, I hope to give a performance where I can hear many of their voices. Also, if there's a chance, I'd like to enjoy Shanghai's gourmet food with the members.
Q4. What are your thoughts on the tour as µ's and what are you talking about with your fellow members?
This will be the first time for the three of us to perform overseas and many people will be seeing µ's for the first time, so I discussed with the members things like song selection, who will sing which part, and how to please the audience. I hope everyone will feel µ's style. Having said that, I'll be performing in Shanghai with two trusted and reassuring people. It's sure to be a very enjoyable time. Please look forward to it!
Q5. Please give a message to everyone who is looking forward to the tour!
This is my first live performance as µ's in a long time. I'm happy to have this chance to meet even though it's been more than 8 years since “Love Live! μ’s Final LoveLive! ~µ'sic Forever♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪~." I hope everyone overseas, and of course everyone who supports us in Japan, will enjoy the µ's of today. I look forward to seeing your smiling faces!
Love Live! Superstar!! Liella! Sayuri Date (Kanon Shibuya) CAST Q&A Guangzhou Performance (October 4, 2024)
Love Live! Series Asia Tour 2024 ~The Story We Realize Together~ Guangzhou Performance ■ Date: October 4 (Fri), 2024 ■ Venue: Guangzhou Asian Games Town Gymnasium Cast: Love Live! Superstar!! Liella! Sayuri Date (Kanon Shibuya), Liyuu (Keke Tang), Nako Misaki (Chisato Arashi), Naomi Payton (Sumire Heanna), Nagisa Aoyama (Ren Hazuki), Nozomi Suzuhara (Kinako Sakurakoji), Akane Yabushima (Mei Yoneme), Wakana Ookuma (Shiki Wakana), Aya Emori (Natsumi Onitsuka), Yuina (Wien Margarete), Sakura Sakakura (Tomari Onitsuka)
Q1. What was your reaction when you first heard about the Asia tour?
I remember I was like, “What? A concert!? And overseas!?"! (Laughs). This tour is the first time for all eleven of us in Liella! to go abroad! In the summer of 2023, the nine of us from the first and second generations performed in Shanghai, but at that time I was so nervous I couldn't stop the adrenaline (laughs). We talked about how we'd work hard so all eleven of us could perform together overseas one day, so I was really happy to hear the news!
Q2. What kind of image do you have of the host country of the Guangzhou show?
This tour will be my first visit to Guangzhou!! I knew of course that the Chinese mainland is really big, but I had no idea just how far apart Shanghai and Guangzhou were until this time, and I was very surprised…! I also heard from Liyuu-chan, who plays Keke Tang, that Guangzhou is really humid and hot, so I'm going to set my hair more carefully than usual on the day of the concert so it won't fall apart from the humidity! (Laughs)
Q3. Is there anything you would like to achieve or try on the tour?
I think it'd be more exciting if we greeted the audience at the beginning of the concert or addressed them during the songs in the local language to make it feel special! We have a lot of fans from overseas who learn Japanese to talk to us at our regular events, so I'd be happy if we could return the favor this time! And if I have time, I'd like to try Chinese-style hot pot, xiaolongbao, and the many other delicious foods I've heard about!
Q4. What are your thoughts on the tour as Liella! and what are you talking about with your fellow members?
Two days after the Guangzhou concert (the day of the Shanghai concert), the first episode of the third season of the Love Live! Superstar!! TV anime will air in Japan! I feel as if the members are closer to me than usual, and I told them it's really reassuring. My thoughts on this tour are very simple. I'd like to take on this challenge with the feeling of gratitude to everyone for supporting us and letting us hear their voices!
Q5. Please give a message to everyone who is looking forward to the tour!
Thank you very much for your support! Liella! is all about "connection" and "unity." I learned from everyone in Liella! that even if we're far apart or don't see each other for days on end, the feeling of fun can still connect us anytime, anywhere! We'll do our best to deliver our voices so we can share a dreamlike time together that can only be created on that day at that time!! Yiqi xiangshou yanchu ba! (Let's enjoy the show together!) (←Liyuu-chan taught me that♡)

Information about Helmuth Koinigg from his autosports profile
He spent his childhood in the Styrian countryside before his parents returned to Wien
At age 14 he was a national junior champion in gymnastics while also working on his skiing abilities
His mother was a former Austrian champion of skiing
At 16 years old he brought a old VW beetle two years before the legal age limit for driving on the road
Though his parents had money they refused to give him any for racing
In secret from his parents he took the beetle to slaloms, sprints and club events
"I had to win races as there was no money for gas back"
At 17 he left school and went to Sweden for four months and took a job as a steward on a night club ship
Helmuth was still studying and at the time of the article had hoped to get his doctorate in Philosophy from Wein University in the next year (1974) and he also studied Engineering at the technical University where he would finish his diploma in 1975. (Helmuth would die racing in 1974)
It wasn't until 1969 that he became serious about racing and brought Niki Lauda's old Cooper
"It was not an awe-inspiring debut - the enthusiastic Koinigg came to rest upside down in a tree and in true comic style, undid his seat belt to drop to the ground and contemplate what this racing business was really all about!"
He had to give up a seat in F1 alongside Ronnie Peterson at March as he didn't have the money. The seat went to Niki Lauda.

HI! Okay. I know you already got a question about fic recs a month or so ago, but I've gotta ask. Do you have any Clex fic recs that aren't super Smallville-centric? I could never get into Smallville and am thus the most oppressed clex shipper ever /j
But! Yes! Do you happen to have any suggestions for stuff like that? I super don't mind if Smallville is canon to the fics, but stuff where it's not the main centerpiece is soooo slay *twirls hair*
you've got me operating on hard mode here because, as you said, most clex fic is pretty heavily based on smallville, but i think i at least have a few set post-series where the comics influence is a lot more prevalent, so hopefully some of these will be to your taste!
Looking Glass County by Astolat
this one is a universe swap fic where the smallville version of lex (post-series) gets switched with his comics counterpart. i don't think it necessarily takes a lot of smallville knowledge to follow it, since it's not super canon-compliant anyway, and it's really interesting to see how the characters bounce off of each other. if you like astolat's writing style, you might also like Revenge, Moving On, and/or Reconcilable Differences, all by the same author and all with mixed comics influences. (to the best of my memory, all of them are comics-y enough to follow without watching much smallville.)
Useful Arts by rivkat
this one is technically a sex pollen story but it's a very plot-heavy one and the sex pollen elements are really only present for the first half of the fic. rivkat's stuff is some of my favorite and i love their characterization for lex. most of their other fic (to the best of my memory) is more obviously based off of smallville, so this is really the only one i can rec for someone looking for comics-inspired characterization.
Counting the Days by tasabian
lex goes to prison for a crime he didn't commit. clark goes undercover to investigate. the premise is very fun, and it doesn't really lean on smallville lore too heavily. their fic tends to pull a lot from the comics as well as the DCAU, so even though all of them are labeled with smallville exclusively, they really use more of a blend of canon from various different sources, so i'd rec pretty much any of their works.
An Alienated Property by Kantayra
lex and clark trapped on a red sun planet together. this one was on my other fic rec post as a "comics" fic (even though it's tagged with smallville) but i wanted to include it here too because i just love the whole "red sun planet" trope that much. to my memory, all of their fic except for "Clark's Secret" are set post-series and can be read as comics-based.
Wien's Law by obscureshipyard
this fic is mostly a series of one-shots that are mostly a mix of character study and smut, so there's not a lot of plot to summarize, but notably, the lex in this fic is a trans man, which does feature pretty prominently, if that affects whether or not it interests you. this is the only fic on this list that is exclusively comics-based, specifically not using the backstory of lex growing up in smallville. this author's other stuff is a mix of smallville and comics-based, but i haven't read any of the rest of it, personally.
i'm sure there's plenty more out there because god knows i've only scratched the surface of their ao3 tag, but from a quick look through my bookmarks, these are the main ones that jumped out at me as being divorced enough from the events of the smallville to be enjoyable for a comics-only fan.
#briar answers#clex#fic recs#i do welcome people reblogging and adding their own recs if they have anything though#comics clex fic is very rare#and when you filter out fics tagged 'smallville' you're basically left with nothing but batfam fic that uses them as a side/past pairing lo

Ok I apologize if this is too presumptuous but you’ve made a couple posts about making friends: if you like tabletop/board games it looks like there might be a few local game stores in wien you could check out. Good ones will have events for different games and friendly people to hang out with.
Wait this is a really good idea! And I will then understand them better for my insane nerd game friends back home

How fast is quantum entanglement?
Quantum theory describes events that take place on extremely short time scales. In the past, such events were regarded as ‘momentary’ or ‘instantaneous’: An electron orbits the nucleus of an atom – in the next moment it is suddenly ripped out by a flash of light. Two particles collide – in the next moment they are suddenly ‘quantum entangled’.
Today, however, the temporal development of such almost ‘instantaneous’ effects can be investigated. Together with research teams from China, TU Wien (Vienna) has developed computer simulations that can be used to simulate ultrafast processes. This makes it possible to find out how quantum entanglement arises on a time scale of attoseconds. The results have now been published in the journal ‘Physical Review Letters’.
Two particles - one quantum object
If two particles are quantum entangled, it makes no sense to describe them separately. Even if you know the state of this two-particle system perfectly well, you cannot make a clear statement about the state of a single particle. “You could say that the particles have no individual properties, they only have common properties. From a mathematical point of view, they belong firmly together, even if they are in two completely different places,” explains Prof. Joachim Burgdörfer from the Institute of Theoretical Physics at TU Wien.
In experiments with entangled quantum particles, scientists are usually interested in maintaining this quantum entanglement for as long as possible – for example, if they want to use quantum entanglement for quantum cryptography or quantum computers. “We, on the other hand, are interested in something else – in finding out how this entanglement develops in the first place and which physical effects play a role on extremely short time scales,” says Prof. Iva Březinová, one of the authors of the current publication.
One electron rushes away, one stays with the atom
The researchers looked at atoms that were hit by an extremely intense and high-frequency laser pulse. An electron is torn out of the atom and flies away. If the radiation is strong enough, it is possible that a second electron of the atom is also affected: It can be shifted into a state with higher energy and then orbit the atomic nucleus on a different path.
So after the laser pulse, one electron flies away and one remains with the atom with unknown energy. “We can show that these two electrons are now quantum entangled,” says Joachim Burgdörfer. “You can only analyze them together – and you can perform a measurement on one of the electrons and learn something about the other electron at the same time.”
The electron itself does not know when it was ‘born’
The research team has now been able to show, using a suitable measurement protocol that combines two different laser beams, that it is possible to achieve a situation in which the ‘birth time’ of the electron flying away, i.e. the moment it left the atom, is related to the state of the electron that remains behind. These two properties are quantum entangled.
“This means that the birth time of the electron that flies away is not known in principle. You could say that the electron itself doesn't know when it left the atom,” says Joachim Burgdörfer. “It is in a quantum-physical superposition of different states. It has left the atom at both an earlier and a later point in time.”
Which point in time it ‘really’ was cannot be answered – the ‘actual’ answer to this question simply does not exist in quantum physics. But the answer is quantum-physically linked to the – also undetermined – state of the electron remaining with the atom: If the remaining electron is in a state of higher energy, then the electron that flew away was more likely to have been torn out at an early point in time; if the remaining electron is in a state of lower energy, then the ‘birth time’ of the free electron that flew away was likely later – on average around 232 attoseconds.
This is an almost unimaginably short period of time: an attosecond is a billionth of a billionth of a second. “However, these differences can not only be calculated, but also measured in experiments,” says Joachim Burgdörfer. “We are already in talks with research teams who want to prove such ultrafast entanglements.”
The temporal structure of ‘instantaneous’ events
The work shows that it is not enough to regard quantum effects as ‘instantaneous’: Important correlations only become visible when one manages to resolve the ultra-short time scales of these effects. “The electron doesn't just jump out of the atom. It is a wave that spills out of the atom, so to speak – and that takes a certain amount of time,” says Iva Březinová. “It is precisely during this phase that the entanglement occurs, the effect of which can then be precisely measured later by observing the two electrons.”
