#revisited this album today and for the most part still holds up pretty well#this song in particular is definitely more resonant today than it was 30 years ago#damn#i mean it definitely sounds like a product of its time but the edge the lyrics and specially the political content#they don't do it like this srsly the sound too#even if there's obviously bands nowadays that sound as hard they don't have this dirty production sound#even if they try to imitate it there's still something polished abt it most likely the better machines they use nowadays#4st7lb also goes super hard too but that one deserves its own post and a massive tw#probably the darkest song of the whole album alongside yes in an album that it's pretty grim as a concept#and as per the mindset of the lyricist#rip richey#manic street preachers#the holy bible#90s#Spotify
