The funniest part about Soul Eater will always be that there is a character in Soul Eater named Soul Eater Evans who Eats Souls and the show is not about him it's about his bestie

#even funnier is that the show is not named after soul it's named for asura #also that dork got there day one and named himself Soul Eater not... realizing.........#that the most common method of transporting prekishin souls back to the academy is EATING THEM.......#he just wanted to be edgy. no i am not kidding he just thought it sounded cool #that's fourteen year olds for ya!#(quietly i would argue that it's not Not about soul -#it's about soul and maka overcoming their fears (#of getting hurt emotionally; of letting each other be hurt in any way; of failing; of being weak #) and realizing their strength comes both from within and from their unshakable bond #like truly it is about friendship and trust and how those two things can carry you through life-or-death situations and the deepest despair #like all the main partnerships in the show are about having unconditional faith in your partner and the strength of your bond.#and any doubt that comes up is basically proven to be just anxiety getting in the way of communication #anyways. if you haven't watched soul eater i beg of you to get at it
