Wanna play Pokémon again, one of the DS era games I have but I hate grinding so much when I played soulsilver in like middle school I STILL remember getting frustrated with the grinding,,, but it’s so pretty even if my team will probably be the same as it was back then.

tos family eeveelution ideaz/thoughts:

- Lux evolved p early, either just b4 or right after going to saluria (the saluria region??? Lmao). His neck is visible bc his longer fur stopped growing on the front.. (thematically jolteon prolly works better but both in and out of universe he needed to remain Fluffy)

- Alan evolved real early too, probably before he even met lux and ferdinand! He was an eevee when david and alex knew him though (they'd probably be either vaporeon or umbreon methinks)...

- Thana wanted to be a flareon for a long time but either accidentally or spur of the moment evolved into glaceon! She's fine with this but still dyes her hair svdhsv

- Ferdinand evolved into an espeon a bit into his time in Saluria! On one hand War on the other he was surrounded by ppl who actually knew him how he wanted 2 be known and loved him in his entirety...

- Zephyr was an eevee the longest out of all of them! He came 2 terms with being trans and with the love of everyone around her, evolved into sylveon p much immediately after coming out sgdhsh

mika's team ;

banette - IMMEDIATELY STRUCK ME . banette holds grudges because it was abandoned and left to rot and. like. need i say more. ghost type stuffed animal. anyway i think itd be a cute bonding experience too maybe helps him out with his mending in little ways by lifting up supplies to put away or carry over. i dont know its just cute idc. head in hands.

espeon - espeon is said to be protective of people it considers worthy, so i like to imagine that espeon could help with mika's clumsiness in little ways, just kind of keeps an eye out for him where it can. plus his more empathetic and helpful nature aligns with it pretty well with how perceptive it is

leavanny - NOT AN INTERESTING PICK . my thought was mainly just sewing i thought it was cute. i think they could help him mend stuffed animals as a fun bonding activity

rapidash - SO . weird pick maybe but ponya is said to look into people's hearts for good and if it sees evil it hides whereas rapidash's entries portray it in a much strounger light ('little can withstand its psycho cut') which i think could parallel his learning to stand for himself

mimikyu - the more obvious reason is that mimikyu is sort of abandoned and sewn but i think it's fear of being a fraud ('it's trying to fix its neck but its struggling, so its crying inside' / 'sad that it's true identity may be exposed, it will mercilessly seek out anyone who breaks its disguise') could also parallel fear of abandonment especially in relation to use / purpose.

shu's team ;

gardevoir - gardevoir is a pretty infamously protective pokemon for the obvious reason. less obvious they look vaguely doll-like to me and less less obvious i just really enjoy the ball gown their mega evolution has so. in a perfect world where mega evolution isn't horrifying maybe shu could take inspiration from that. i dont know if this is anything

hatterene - arguably the most 'i am going to do what i want' pokemon with its lack of patience for noisy intruders to its forest, which aligns pretty well with shu's passion for art overriding other people's opinions. plus again there's already a dress there i think he could take inspo it goes crazy. hatterene is also pretty in tune with emotions (mainly hostility) which aligns well with shu's admiration for mika's growth OR the way that he views other people's thoughts on him methinks

persian - persian is a pretty prideful pokemon and it can be pretty picky with people, which aligns with shu's strictness and eccentricity in my mind. persians are pretty popular with rich people for their gem and coats which kind of vaguely reminds me of tailoring. a little. also people sometimes like hunting them for their gem which could maybe parallel how people might take shots at shu for his eccentricity OR it could play into shu's protectiveness over the people he cares about. idk i think he deserves a quiet companion in whatever studio he's got going on

furfrou - furfrou's main gimmick is that it's so stylized !! people love stylizing this thang even if they really should not because some of those forms are ugly. good lordt. idk i trust shu's taste do not do furfrou dirty. BUT my bigger reason for picking furfrou is that they only trust certain people to cut their hair and they'll just let it grow crazy if they don't trust anyone, which i think also plays into shu's care for others.

deerling - ok this one is my most abstract pick im sorry. my thinking here was that deeling represents all the different seasons and all the change and growth that accompanies them, which i thought paralleled shu's watching mika grow and change. also i dont have any reason its a shiny i just think it fits.

what fusions do you think would be absolutely essential? Methinks seviper and zangoose would be very very funny.

that is a hard question but seviper and zangoose is really good... it would definitely have to be pokemon that are paired up often i bet. like espeon and umbreon maybe ... i cant think of any more

Wait don’t the Let’s Go! games come out in October, or at least around that time? A new Eevee pin, around the time a new Pokémon game is released, a game which has advertised a new, mysterious Pokémon… hmmmmmmm…
