The easiest way to tell if someone's a misogynist or not is to show them Mufasa: The Lion King and see their reaction/takeaway on Mufasa's relationship with his adoptive mother, and/or love-triangle between Mufasa, Scar, and Sarabi.
#If I hear one more person unironically mention “bro-code” in the big year of our lord and savior 2025 I am going to eat someone's house#Like nooooo Sarabi is not an “object” to be fought over or “promised to"#She has a CHOICE#She CHOSE Mufasa - and this was after Mufasa couldn't keep up the lie that Taka saved her (mainly bc she was too clever to fall for it)#NOOOOOOOOO Mufasa did not “steal Taka's woman” considering how Sarabi and Taka barely had any 1-1 dialogue together.#NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Taka did not have an “justified crashout” when said crashout involved handing over the lives of MILLIONS to a dictator#And no this movie is not “Woke Disney hating men” simply for *gasp* showing how misogyny breeds misogyny#especially as part of the first act showing nature vs. nurture in terms of Mufasa and Scar's upbringing#I'm a straight male and even I get so fucking skeeved seeing these takes#like tell me you've never felt or known the touch of a woman without telling me you've never felt or known the touch of a woman#Ion like to gatekeep shit but close those motherfucken gates ASAP we've a containment breach of grifters at 12:00
