it's very sweet when wwx is like 'aw jin ling is just like his uncle' in postcanon fics but I have to laugh because in canon he's literally like 'ugh, jin ling is JUST like his uncle 🙄'
#jin ling being like jc is not something he's pleased about lmao he tries to address it immediately#come to think of it I can't think of wwx responding well to jc's personality since...that time jc went to the BM and tried to kill wn#or maybe the sneaky soup visit...#anyway the fact that wwx canonically thinks jc's personality sucks is quite funny to me#and people love to ignore this like 'oh he loves how much of an abrasive dick jc is!' actually he doesn't?#he's sick of how awful jc acts and he makes that very clear multiple occasions#maybe he did at one point like it when jc was actually harmless and on his side#but he'd tried to kill him or torture him or kill people wwx loves too many times#so he's probably soured on that prickly and aggressive personality#esp since it overflows so easily into violence and cruelty and emotional attacks#and wwx had to walk on eggshells around him#ugh god their relationship was terrible#im fond of reconciliation too but the people who genuinely want wwx and jc to go back to how things were are insane#also wwx has a right to be angry at jc and not want to be around him damn#ficblogging
