I saw someone post saying that to understand Ellis you had to do mental gymnastics, and it's true, I don't understand him either. I know his altruism isn't real, but he's also not as selfish as he says he is. He didn't want to explore or do the same things as his brother, but he still always followed him. He was already doing that thing of putting the interests of others first, even before his curse manifested itself. Likewise, he has good social intelligence, but he can go against the social order for just one person. You are the only one I know who has read his route, so you did manage to decipher his true personality? 🤔

As much as I adore Ellis, I’m no expert, but I feel like on the whole, all of the guys are multi-layered characters. So to be fair, I don’t think their main stories allow us to unpack their entire personality. But that’s why we have post-route events.

In a nutshell, I feel like Ellis is supposed to be a conundrum. That’s part of his twisted personality. It’s not supposed to make sense. I don’t work for Cybird, but that’s how I feel his character is to be read. For example, I think he’s in a constant battle with so many different desires such as…..

Below for spoilers:

Wanting to live a long, happy life with his loved ones, but having to struggle with the desire to kill them when they’re the happiest. He doesn’t want it to end, but he’s still compelled to ask if you’re happy, if so, how happy? He’s sometimes relieved when they’re not so happy they can die, but can also feel like he needs to do all he can to make you happy.

And while it’s true that he did put others ahead of himself even prior to his curse manifesting, he did still have selfish desires. He just didn’t act on them, until that day. Which Ellis himself doesn’t even remember 100%. To clarify, I don’t mean to say he didn’t love his brother. You could tell that Ellis really did love him.

That’s what I think anyway, sorry if it isn’t much help!

I'm actually quite happy with my posted fics, but if I have to pick I'd go with my first F1 fic, my Charlando fic; Insomnia

I feel like since then I have grown as a writer and that I could make this fic better, fluffier, add scenes for even more feels and I also feel like I know Lando and Charles better now (when i started writing this I had only just gotten into F1)

I also would actually love to write a fic like this (or re-write this one) with Landoscar 🤭

okay SO. besides the characters of mira, henry, alfred, georgie, and earnest, there are also other characters. two of them being the bennetts.

jack bennett lives on the streets with his younger sister, ida bennett, where they steal and trick people so they can get food. henry accidentally has an Experience with him when he goes into town for the first time in years and watches as jack slyly steals something or other (haven't figured that part out yet) from a food stand (he has a very keen eye). henry chases after jack, insisting he give it back, but jack refuses. rivals to lovers ensues (i have yet to figure all of the logistics out yet). at some point ida gets sick though and jack brings her to the windell's home so she can get better.

so. henry and jack are gay. and i already made them a ship name

I was reading the 'Between Two Villains' event again, and I got to thinking, would Ellis now that he's officially dating Kate, would he agree to Kate having a threesome with him and Jude (assuming Jude accepts this time)? Likewise, what would he do if Kate told him she wanted to have sex with other men besides him? 🤔

NSFW/MDNI - In short, no I don't think so. Further explanation below the cut due to Ellis route & future event spoilers.

No, I don't be believe he would, or any of them would in general. Not to say it's wrong to fantasize, write fics/create art about it, but I just don't think it would happen for any of them canonically.

Perhaps, if it was the very early stages of their relationship (like the first couple of weeks), and Jude agreed to it, but even this possibility is out the door too in my opinion. Why?

In Ellis' route, Jude takes on a big brother role for Kate and Ellis. He is even asked to look over them by Victor in MLE. That's how I read the trio's relationship.

Jude despises broken promises. If we considered the second wedding event as canon, Jude hates cheating so much that he includes in his wedding contract. I don't see him willingly coming into their relationship at all - even for things like a threesome. He's a protector, he'd do whatever it took to protect them imo.

Ellis would never allow it. It's interesting because as we get his one year anniversary event, and even his recent CE "Only Look At Me", Ellis has progressively become more greedy and selfish. He's becoming more possessive and anxious when Kate interacts or even looks at another guy. A threesome is a no-go because now he has learned how to speak up when he wants something - which is Kate all to himself.

I feel like Kate would never ask for a threesome (willingly). The MC tends to mimic her suitors to an extent regarding their likes and dislikes. In 'Between Two Villains' epilogue, there is a scene with the trio eating their gelato, and Kate becomes jealous of Jude's and Ellis' relationship. It's the same exact thing that happens in Ellis' BLE. She is jealous that Ellis ate some of Jude's gelato, but not hers. Additionally, she encourages Ellis' possessive nature over her.

Ofc, this is just my opinion, others may feel differently, and that's fine :-)

also, the title is from "Sparks Fly" which I think is such a Them song because of how it says hmm this relationship might be bad idea I should probably not get involved with this person but the thing is they are so sparkly and when I'm with them I forget all the reasons we shouldn't be together and if that isn't a perfect descriptor of Euneun having crises because they think they're in a relationship with a 28-year age gap I don't know what is!
