#what i've observed looking through 99 percent of celeb tags on tumblr is that people have a severely alarming tendency to cancel somebody#based off /one/ thing they do#it's like neutral isn't even an option#you love somebody and they write a poorly worded tweet?#they're done#they're gross#they're disgusting#you see a celebrity take /maybe/ not the greatest photo in the world?#how dare they not know every single thing that's problematic#social media and the privilege of experiencing our favorite celebrities through it has made all of us feel so entitled#i'm even guilty of it myself tbh like i'll feel mad if a person doesn't post a photo with the person i want them to#troian posts a comment about l*na dunham and gets called trash even though she didn't know the full story#lili says a comment about b*ronica and gets called homophobic even tho nobody actually bothers to understand the context behind it#eliza kisses somebody the fandom apparently doesn't like that much and now people are telling her she's done#where do we all think we get the right to judge these people when we don't even know#or better yet when /we/ fuck up on the daily it's just nobody's around to call us out#wow this is long#i'm gonna delete this lmao#just..musings man
