Just recently got into JRWI and, asking for a friend (aka my future self because this is becoming agonizing): does the i n c r e d i b l y gay subtext between Chip and Gill ever become more than subtext

#jrwi #just roll with it #listen I swear I'm not that annoying guy honestly shipping is normally one of my lowest prioreties for any piece of media #and I'm nearly always more willing to enjoy a character dynamic as a friendship than make it something different for the sake of imagining #but COME ON. chip MADE THEM A SHIP NAME. CANONICALLY #wtf is 'we're more than friends - we're a crew' IM GOING INSANE #I'm fully expecting nothing to be canon and the subtext is only adding to my experience dw but I'm just #curious if it's on purpose #either way fish man x pirate is somehow not something I'd thought of before #chewing drywall #they have such a Dynamic.
