Oscar nominations:

Ugh, they’re going to make me watch fucking Avatar, aren’t they?

I mean, I get why they nominated Top Gun: Maverick, but … *sigh* That Del Toro quote about army recruitment commercial aesthetics is just very apt.

That said, SO MANY Everything Everywhere All At Once nominations! I’m so happy. Every aspect of that movie is so goddamn perfect. I hope it sweeps as much as it can.

Damn it, who does Janelle Monae have to murder to get nominated in this town? I still think they should have gotten a Hidden Figures nom and now nothing for Glass Onion? Come the fuck on.

Okay, the crowd reaction to those last two Animated Short Feature nominations was too cute.

They really should just hand Paul Rogers the Editing Oscar for EEAAO right now. Like, just give it to him and don’t let him wait. We all know it’s his. I mean, come on.

Very happy for Angela Bassett! Kind of wish the movie got a nomination for Best Film too, but I’ll take it.

Look, the Best Song category is great, but all I really want to see is a live dance performance of Naatu Naatu, lbr.
