Pluto had returned and Magnus couldn’t help but wonder if the rest of them would follow suit. They were all sure to run into every original vampire sooner or later. One was already in their midst. Maybe he would run into the famed Pluto, maybe he wouldn’t. Regardless, that was nowhere near his actual reason for being here. Where Morrigan went, he often liked to go, too. The sight of her often was enough, but there was something hanging in the air between them now. Nothing had come of it, but he wished that forgiveness was her strong suit more than it wasn’t. At least she was talking to him though. That was all he could really ask for as he walked over to her. “Well, hello, stranger.” He should have leaned in to attempt a kiss on the cheek or something of the sort, but he wasn’t going to initiate anything like that unless she did first. Maybe that would be the problem. He wasn’t sure if she wanted him to do it first instead. It almost caused a laugh to leave his mouth, but he kept that thought to himself. “You know, I always thought vampire parties would be a bit more...bloody.”

The estate was far more put together than he had expected. Hakan did not frequent the place often. Most of his time was spent within his own castle so he had not even been aware that they fixed the place up. Well, he had been, but he had never actually visited to see the remodeling. They had done a decent job. If he did not already have Ezekiel fixing up his castle, he was sure that he would have asked who had done so for this place. That was something for another time though. As much as it may not have seemed true, he was an extroverted person. He liked talking to people that interested him. Vampires were of the minority that he gave the time of day towards. The others were those he drank from. Most of the time, they ended up dead. Other times, they were good enough to keep around. His preference for blood had always seemed to come back to druids though. There were none here, but he did have his favorite human in his presence. Humans had always had mediocre blood. However, Gael had...well, there was a lot of effort put into making sure that he appealed to the vampires of Rome. It was both a blessing and a curse for him. That was part of the reason why he had the poor human on a leash right now. Gael was sure to run off and try to become a thrall to someone else again. Hakan would have hated to have to put the man through that withdrawal again.

His body turned to face Gael, fingers trailing up the chain until it got to the loop that was attached to the leather around the human’s neck. Then he pulled until their lips were just barely touching. “I expect you will be on your best behavior tonight.” It was not phrased as a question. Hakan had learned a long time ago that the human was not fond of being treated with any sort of respect. As long as there were fangs in the other’s neck, he was willing to do anything. That was the only reason the Dracul knew exactly what to say to get his way. A finger ran across that vein in the other man’s neck that was currently concealed, the one he had become all too obsessed with since they had first met. “I will be sure to reward you if you are.”

Of course she wouldn't have known. The Senate was a corrupt little organization that only looked out for their own. He was stupid to think that they would consider Ayla worthy to know of his whereabouts. Then again, he guessed his whereabouts weren't something that needed to be known to her. If she had known, well, the anger he was seeing now was sure to be worse. Ayla was the most worthy of them all though. His progeny and she was someone of importance. He almost wanted to pat himself on the back. Instead, a hand rested on her shoulder. "And we will make sure they don't fail us again. Or you. If they do, I have proved that my bite is much worse than my bark before." He let go of her shoulder, his hand moving to his chin. "Let's not think about that now though. We're at a party. Battle strategy can wait until tomorrow."

The triumvir wasn’t the only person that he’d turned, but she felt like the most important. After all, she had been the first. Ayla would always be important to him just based on that alone. He hoped that she knew there was an importance to her that not a lot of others could claim when it came to Magnus. The only person with more relevance in his life was Morrigan. And that was only because he was so blinded by his love for her that nobody else could’ve really mattered for a very long time. Except for Ayla. He had felt her presence even within the Catacombs. Rome was a big place, but she was privy to quite a lot of things given her status. Thankfully, she was willing to get him out of his prison that he had been sure he would be thrown back into sooner rather than later. He was thankful for that. “I’ve been in the Catacombs. I’m surprised they didn’t tell you.” He shrugged. “Then again, why would they?”

Ayla didn’t need air and yet it felt like she had the breath knocked out of her. Magnus was a vastly important person to her, the connection to her sire had run deep and she had felt him near and yet had never seen him and this horrible sense of dread that she had ignored the connection that tethered them and her inaction had allowed him to rot within the Catacombs. “I didn’t know.” If she had, he wouldn’t had sat imprisoned for so long, she would absolve him of his crime even if his bite had led to much strife between the Eladrin and the Venus vampires, she had always understood hunger. Without him, she would have never achieved the life she wanted, remaining close to the royal vampiric line was meant for her. “The Senate has failed the Venus line before, I might be the poster child for them now but they are still a snake in the grass.” It was a constant struggle between feeling like a figurehead and the leader of the grand operation.

This party was certainly her kind of thing. Sumeyye loved to dress up no matter what it was for and that meant that she was going to take any opportunity she had to do so. If that meant going to the homecoming of Pluto himself, then she was damn sure going to do so. However, the last thing she ever expected was that she was going to be going into a pool of blood with the outfit that she had spent so much time picking out. Ezekiel was so lucky she liked him or she would've...Well, she wasn't sure what she would've done, but it wouldn't have been nice. Or maybe it would have been. Honestly, she was a lover, not a fighter. Albeit, a lover that was now covered in blood and she looked like a drowned rat considering the fur coat she had on. "Ezekiel!" As she resurfaced, she shook her head at him, but licked the blood off of her lips. "Oh, well, maybe this isn't so bad," she stated with a slight shrug before letting a small smile lift onto her lips. "What happened to the DJ-ing downstairs?"

A couple people had gotten pushed in, but from what the vampire could tell it was warm, it was real, and it was calling him. Because a jacket was quintessential attire at night, Ezekiel shrugged out of it and loosened a few of the buttons at the top of his shirt. "I'm doing it." He said as his grin spread, the burn at the back of his throat had gone dull a long time ago

Because he couldn't help himself, Ezekiel pulled Sumeyye along with him as he dragged the woman into the blood pool with him. For an extra splash, Ezekiel balled himself up as he hit the pool, emerging a few moments later - treading blood and completely drenched in it from head to toe. Blown pupils led to the whoop that fell from his lips, calling out into air as a wild grin met Sumeyye's. "This. Is. The. Best. Night. Ever."
