There is a trend I’ve noticed that smut fics tend to be much more popular than anything else and honestly I just want to have something to look at to remind myself and that writing doesn’t have to have sex to be worth putting out into the community.

maze runner idea

what if there was a maze where they were given roller blades/skates, helmets, and those really durable gloves, and a few metal things to make and fit into grooves. they have to make the grooves and sometimes the newbies just slam into a wall bc they didnt put the thing in groove in time or at the wrong angle. i imagine it would look like those people that skate on highways and stuff. and when they get rescued, one of them is still out of it or is just goofy and they try sliding into the cafeteria and thats how they meet the others. or if you dont want your character doing that, they could be the mom friend trying to stop them.

imagine that thomas has lighter colored hair (but still darker than newts) and instead of getting shot in the stomach, he gets shot in the leg ad when everyone gets to the safe haven, after a few months its summer and thomas's hair has been bleached by the sun to a color similar to newts and somehow minho got sick which made him delirious and when thomas visited him. all minho saw was newt checking in on him.

imagine instead of the machine that WCKD used in the movies, they made it more “realistic” by using the neck chip to make him see things like in the beginning of the scorch trials. Imagine after everything in the Safe Haven, they keep seeing Minho with a bunch of scratches on his neck whenever he accidentally shows his neck and they assume it’s from exploring the Safe Haven or whatever the heck he gets up to.

It’s very much not. Whenever he wakes up from the nightmares, he keeps scratching up his neck badly because he thinks he’s “getting rid” of the chip.

it just fascinates me how kakania is a morally upstanding type of person, truly caring for society and wanting to improve it, leading to her complaints about it. she's not somebody who fits perfectly into contemporary society and has oftentimes defied it. whereas isolde is the type of person who just kind of ... adheres to her own moral compass, defining to herself what she considers to be the right thing to do and taking a course of action based on that. as a result, we get those moments where kakania complains about the injustices deeply rooted within society, striving to fix it, but isolde ends up taking it somewhat literally and going "i can get rid of these unpleasant things for you. that's what you want right? where do i start?" and going to extreme ends that not even kakania would go to. because isolde lacks the moral limitations that kakania has. but in isolde's mind, since it's in line with what kakania strives for, then surely it should be no problem, right?

Isolde

Reverse 1999 is so fun for making a female character who's beautiful while being mentally ill but is still completely undefendable while talking about her actions. Isolde was manipulated by Manus yes, but she was and HAS been unstable from the start. Spending your life seeing the dead and having then possess you for a living with the family predisposition towards mania. There wasn't a lot of hope for her, but at the same time, her actions were still her own; as an adult, she was in control. She's cunning, manipulative, and she holds the judgement of people she places her trust in above everything: especially her morals.
