okay fine ill yap, it will contain spoilers, though, so read at your own risk [tags by @veilord]

despite the fact that winsweep is an unreliable narrator and an asshole at best, hes the character that really shows the rest of the csmp members that theres no ending but war, especially in masquerade where beforehand lux and rat were sworn enemies, and at the time of the masquerade, they teamed up to fight blake

you might say "oh so blake had this realisation" no. he didn't. he never did. he only had his eyes on rat and lux and he wanted them dead. the some of the members maybe had their eyes opened since the start/the masquerade [like moriya and bon, which is proven when blake is taken to vote for his execution], but most of the time, they just. didn't truly realize [honorable mention: silvia]

and boy oh boy did blake [AND MORE SPECIFICALLY LUX] do EVERYONE a favor at the finale. even to himself.

when he killed lux, he FINALLY just slightly opened his eyes. he felt empty because he started to realise that he made a mistake by killing lux, sure, she entertained him by him poking at her, but once she was gone, there was a void he couldn't point out the reason for.

But, I was fulfilled. Iʼd—Iʼd completed my goal, this server was mine to claim. So… let me ask you this: why do I feel so empty?

he finally started to notice that this wasn't the result he needed nor wanted, and nox even helped build upon that fact. he fought with his eyes closed and ended it with his eyes half opened. he knew bloodshed, hatred, and yet he was unfulfilled with it.

it wasnt the perfect funeral for anyone, lux died, rat is mad, nox wanted blake and rat dead, and blake wanted lux and rat dead. no one fully got what they wanted
