10:45 Manchester United will offer Victor Lindelof a contract extension until 2025, which will see him earn 150,000 pounds a week, report Sky Sports.
10:31 Monaco are negotiating a contract extension with Radamel Falcao, according to L’Equipe. The French newspaper states that although the Colombian has a big offer on the table from Galatasaray, he is keen on staying with Monaco. Falcao’s only demand is that he is handed a three-year deal, which is what Galatasaray have offered.
10:19 Rodrigo Moreno has returned to Marcelino’s orders and could play against Real Sociedad on Saturday. The Spaniard is waiting for his move to Atletico Madrid to be finalised.
10:08 AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are yet to reach an agreement over Angel Correa. The Italians have offered a fixed amount plus add-ons, but it is with the add-ons where there has been a difference of opinion.
10:02 Paulo Dybala seems set to stay at Juventus, according to reports in Italy. Although he seemed close to joining Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window, the Old Lady regretted that decision and Dybala now seems more likely to stay than to go.
09:58 Mauro Icardi has asked Inter to not begin negotiations over his future just yet as he wants Juventus to generate the necessary funds first, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. In addition, different media outlets in Italy have indicated that there is an anti-Juventus pact between Inter, Napoli and Roma to prevent the Argentine from joining the Bianconeri.

Argentina 0-2 Colombia: Lionel Messi's side 'feeling bitter' after Copa America defeat

Argentina 0-2 Colombia: Lionel Messi's side 'feeling bitter' after Copa America defeat
Substitute Roger Martinez – who plays for Mexico’s Tigres – celebrates after scoring his side’s opening goal
Argentina’s bid to reach a third straight Copa America final began with a 2-0 loss against Colombia – a first defeat to their South American rivals in 12 years.
Roger Martinez and Duvan Zapata scored in the final 20 minutes after an Argentina side featuring Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero had dominated.
Messi, 31, said the Group B defeat left his side “feeling bitter”.
“We didn’t want to start this way,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner said.
“But now we have to lift our heads and keep going.”
Argentina have won the tournament 14 times – second only to Uruguay – but have not triumphed since 1993 and lost the last two finals on penalties against Chile.
Barcelona’s Messi missed his side’s best chance to score in Salvador, heading a rebound wide after David Ospina had saved from Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi.
Colombia, managed by former Portugal and Real Madrid head coach Carlos Quieroz, scored both of their goals against the run of play.
Substitute Martinez cut in from the left and drove his effort into the top corner in the 71st minute after being set up by James Rodriguez.
Zapata, who scored 23 goals to help his Italian side Atalanta qualify for the Champions League for the first time last season, sealed the win with a late close-range effort, having replaced captain Radamel Falcao.
Argentina next face Paraguay, who begin their campaign against invitees Qatar on Sunday (20:00 BST).
Uruguay take on Ecuador (23:00 BST) in the opening game in Group C.
In Saturday’s earlier game,VenezuelaandPeruplayed out a 0-0 draw in Group A.
Peru had two goals ruled out by VAR while Luis Mago was sent off for Venezuela for a second yellow card late on.
Hosts Brazil top Group A following their 3-0 win over Bolivia.

A miserable opening 45 minutes gave way to a more exciting second half, and Roger Martinez came off the bench to win the day with a 71st minute stunner to give Colombia all three points in Bahia, supported by a late cherry on top from Duvan Zapata.
The goal came just minutes after Lionel Messi missed a golden opportunity to give Argentina the lead during a spell of serious possessional domination midway through the second half. Once again, the Argentinian collection of star forwards came up empty, a drought that continues to plague the side in big matches.
The first half, largely, was a physical mess with very few real chances on net. The possession was nearly even between the two sides, neither team registered a shot on target, and there were just five shots overall in the first half, including just one for Argentina.
Early on, Lionel Messi was at the heart of Argentina’s best chance as he delivered a stunning long ball forward for Sergio Aguero, but with David Ospina coming acres out of his net to challenge with a flying karate kick, the offside flag went up to end the chance. Colombia was dealt an early blow as Luis Muriel was forced off with an early thigh injury, replaced by Martinez in a move that would eventually prove critical.
Argentina suffered a near-disaster when Nicolas Otamendi delivered a dangerous back-pass to goalkeeper Franco Armani who sent it right back to his defender with both under heavy pressure, but they escaped just conceding a corner and it came to nothing for Colombia.
After the break, the game opened up a bit but there were still few chances on net. Messi nearly weaved his way through the entire Colombian defense, nutmegging Davinson Sanchez before Wilmar Barrios came in to cut the ball off, but the referee made a controversial decision not to award an illegal back-pass as Barrios then touched back to Ospina who collected in his arms. Instead, he showed a yellow card to Leandro Paredes for dissent after the action arguing his case.
The two teams burst into a scuffle when Messi was hacked down by Juan Cuadrado past the hour mark as Argentina began to grab hold of the game. Cuadrado received a yellow of his own and was withdrawn shortly thereafter. On the hour mark, Messi had a golden opportunity to give Argentina the lead, but as Paredes saw his effort saved, the rebound came to Messi but he headed wide right from point-blank range despite the goal gaping.
Minutes later Colombia took the lead through a simple yet stunning move as Martinez burst down the left and cut inside just outside the top of the penalty area, unleashing a fabulous strike that left a diving Armani with no chance as it buried into the side netting inside the far post.
Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli somehow decided that 31-year-old Matias Suarez was the choice for a last throw of the dice off the bench, choosing the man with two prior international caps over the likes of Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez.
Instead, Colombia went down the other end and eviscerated the Argentina defense with a vicious counter down the left as Roger Martinez combined with Jefferson Lerma. The latter crossed to the doorstep and Zapata – who came on just five minutes earlier for Radamel Falcao – somehow beat the napping center-back pairing of German Pezzella and Otamendi.
The win for Colombia gives them an early advantage in Group B, while Argentina can still rescue its situation with matches remaining against Paraguay and Qatar. The loss marks the third in Argentina’s last four competitive matches, with losses to France and Croatia in World Cup play prior to this defeat.

2019 Copa America Preview: Group B
Group B
Argentina and Lionel Messi are the clear headliners for Group B, but Colombia should not be overlooked thanks to a battle-tested squad. Joining the two group favorites are Paraguay and the hosts of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar.
Argentina (FIFA Ranking: 11)
The talk going into any international competition for Argentina will be Lionel Messi’s legacy. Messi has been unable to win a major international competition, World Cup or Copa America, since he won the gold medal with Argentina in the 2008 Olympics. Because of this, all the focus will be on Messi. This means the supporting cast needs to show up. Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria, and Paulo Dybala all produce for their domestic clubs, but fall short at the international level. If the veterans amongst the 23-man squad fails to elevate their game, look for the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Lauturo Martinez and Leandro Parades to be given a chance. All of which have less than 15 international caps for Argentina. Also left-back Nicolas Tagliafico could be the breakout star for Argentina this tournament. The Ajax defender had an excellent domestic season in the Netherlands, reaching the semi-final of the Champions League and winning the Dutch Eredivisie. Tagliafico is defensively solid, but shines in the attack. He had six goals and six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for Ajax in 2018/19.
Colombia (FIFA Ranking: 12)
Trio Rademal Falcao, James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado make a fearsome attack for Colombia. Throw in forward Luis Muriel and midfielders Jefferson Lerma and Mateus Uribe, Colombia bring an experienced and talented team to Brazil for the Copa America. However, Duvan Zapata will be the one to watch for Colombia in the Copa America. Zapata scored 28 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta this season, and helped the Italian club qualify for the Champions League for the first time in history. The biggest question mark for Colombia is their fullbacks. Right-back Santiago Arias is the only established fullback for Colombia, with 46 appearances. Christian Borja will likely be the starting left-back, but he only has three appearances for Colombia. And with no other recognized left-back, Colombia need Borja to have a strong tournament. However, he will be joined by a strong defensive spine with goalkeeper Diego Ospina and centerbacks Davinson Sanchez and Yerry Mina. Colombia have not reached the final of the Copa America since 2001, and with their talented squad they are primed to change that.
Paraguay (FIFA Ranking: 36)
Paraguay’s strength lies in their defense. Captain Gustavo Gomez, Fabian Balbuena and Bruno Valdez are all established defenders who could be the three center-backs in a defensive back-five. However, Newcastle United midfielder MIguel Almiron will be the centerpiece for Paraguay. Although he has yet to score an international goal, Almiron should be able to influence the Paraguayan attack by assisting his forwards and making mazey runs through opposing defenses. Even if Paraguay’s attack runs through Almiron, they still need other players to produce. Fellow midfielder Hernan Perez will likely play on the right-wing for Paraguay and should offer width in the attack. Former Roma winger Juan Iturbe could play on the opposite side of Perez and look to influence the game the same way Almiron does. Meanwhile, Paraguay’s main goal threat comes from 36-year-old Oscar Cardozo who has 10 goals in 50 appearances for his country.
Qatar (FIFA Ranking: 55)
One of the two countries invited to the Copa America, this will be the first chance a majority of viewers will be able to see Qatar. The 2022 World Cup hosts have been on a good run of form recently. They beat Japan 3-1 in the 2019 Asia Cup final, and in preparation for the Copa America, lost to Brazil with a modest 2-0 scoreline. Manager Felix Sanchez has been coaching for Qatar since 2013 when he was the U-19 head coach. Sanchez officially took over for the senior national team in 2017 and has won 18 out of 32 matches in charge. Sanchez brings a young squad to the Copa America, with only two of the 23 players older than 30. Forward and captain Hassan Al-Haydos has 26 goals in 120 appearances for Qatar and is head-and-shoulders the most experienced player on the squad. Qatar will use the Copa America to validate their controversial awarding of the 2022 World Cup, and with their recent form should not be taken lightly by any team in Group C.
Prediction
Colombia - 9 points
Argentina - 4 points
Qatar - 4 points
Paraguay - 0 points

UEFA Champions League Match Previews – 6th November Wednesday
Real Madrid vs Galatasaray
Pressure is building on Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid after Los Blancos fell to a disappointing draw at home to lowly Real Betis on Saturday. Much more is expected after another summer of spending with big money being thrown on Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic. They’ve failed to take advantage of an underwhelming start to the season from both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona and it’s their own inconsistency that is worrying. A 50% win rate in all competitions is way below what should be par for the Galacticos.
They welcome a respectable Galatasaray outfit to the Bernabeu and the Turks will try and make it a challenge for their hosts. Club Brugge came to the Spanish capital without any pressure on them and they came away with a surprise draw and we’re even 2-0 up at one point. Gala will take heart from that sturdy effort and their squad is made up of quite a few European regulars who have experience at this level.
The reverse fixture ended in a 1-0 win for Madrid but the Aslanlar were certainly competitive and probably were unlucky not to score after accruing an expected goals figure of 1.25. They’ve only lost 3 times in all competitions this season and those were all defeats by just a single goal against Real, PSG and Besiktas, there’s little to complain about their.
The likes of Radamel Falcao, Steven N’Zonzi, Yuto Nagatomo and Ryan Babel currently ply their trade for the Istanbul-based side and they look a cracking bet at 1.750 with a +2.25 start on the asian handicap. I was very surprised at that line and this bet would see us profit even if the visitors lose by 2 clear goals.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Galatasaray +2.25 at 1.750
Dinamo Zagreb vs Shakhtar Donetsk
Group C has been an extremely profitable one for this column and I see no reason to go away from that this week. There’s a real chance one of these two sides can make the knockout phase of this competition given Atalanta have lost all 3 of their fixtures so far. Both Dinamo and Shakhtar therefore have 4 points after an entertaining 2-2 draw at Shakhtar’s temporary home in Kharkiv a fortnight ago.
The Croatians really caught the eye in that fixture and they passed the data test too winning the xG battle 2.11-1.46. Dani Olmo is without doubt their star man, he was superb for the Plavi last season in the Europa League but was given a bigger stage at the Under 21’s Euros in Italy this summer where he revelled for eventual winners, Spain. Olmo was part of the La Masia academy in Barcelona growing up but took a left field move to Zargeb to gain additional playing time, it’s proved a worthwhile move and surely head scouts at the top European clubs will be keeping tabs on the classy midfielder.
Shakhtar will have been delighted with their smash and grab win in Italy against La Dea on matchday 2 but will have been disappointed that they couldn’t build on that in this reverse fixture two weeks ago. They’re chiefly made up of Ukranians and Brazilians but it was Israeli youngster Manor Solomon who got the vital winner in the San Siro. They always pose a threat going forward with the likes of Marlos, Taison, Moraes and Yehvan Konoplyanka but defensively they do look suspect.
Goals have to be the order of the day and I’m delighted we can get some 1.900 on over 2.5 goals. Over the three Zagreb games there has been an average of 3.33 goals per game but that actually rises to 3.9 when looking at xG. Shakhtar have also seen 3.33 goals per game but their games’ xG is at 3.71 so even though it’s been a group full of goals so far it could be argued that their should’ve been even more. It seems like the bookies haven’t cottoned on yet but I’m not complaining.
Asian Total Goals Betting Recommendation: Over 2.50 goals at 1.900
Atalanta vs Manchester City
Sticking in group C and sticking with goals as Atalanta welcome an in form Manchester City to their temporary champions league home in nearby Milan. The Citizens wiped the floor with La Dea in this reverse fixture recently, deservedly winning 5-1. Pep Guardiola saw his side rack up an expected goals figure 4.35 so it was no fluke. City look a different beast in this competition and the hierarchy at the club have longed for continental success that has so far not come to fruition. With Liverpool ousting all before them in the Premier League maybe it will be more sensible for a larger focus on this competition.
Many will look at the respective records of these two and be rushing to back the 1.490 on the away side but Atalanta do pose a real threat. Their gung-ho approach under the experienced Gian Piero Gasperini has been too hot to handle for most in Serie A but that’s not translated well on the continent. They employ an innovative 3-4-2-1 formation and even without last seasons top scorer Duvan Zapata, fellow Colombian front man Luis Muriel has stepped up to the plate. In Papau Gomez and Josip Ilicic they have quality in the final third of the pitch but their forward-thinking game can be to their defensive detriment.
The Bergamo boys have conceded a whopping 11 in their opening 3 champions league game, been smashed for 4 by Dinamo Zagreb a definite low point. They’ve averaged the most shots per game in Serie A but they’ve also conceded two or more goals in 9 of their 14 games this season and being so generous at the back doesn’t seem to cut it against the better teams.
Atalanta are seeing an eye-watering 4.4 goals per game in Serie A and that figure tallies with their European quest, in fact their expected goals is even higher at 4.9! Man City are seeing an average of 3.67 goals per game in this competition but the data indicates that should be more like 4.5, the same xG figure for their premier league clashes.
All the underlying numbers point to another shootout here and we’ve got data from a decent enough sample size now. I’m not surprised to see the goal line quite high here but there’s still merit in the 1.760 on over 3.5 goals I feel with the style of play of the pair and the attacking quality on show.
Asian Total Goals Betting Recommendation: Over 3.50 goal at 1.760
