I'm back home from my trip!!! If you ever get the chance to travel to the literal opposite side of the country to meet you're online friends I very strongly recommend!!!!
I arrived and immediately subjected my friend to an over 10 minute long hug, very proud of myself for that one. (Before we'd made plans to meet I'd made a threat that when we meet in person I'd hug them for 10 minutes straight. Mission accomplished!)

Holy shit! That latest ushijima ask just needs to have a second part to it!! That cant be it! I refuse to accept that that is it. It's sooo damn good it demands to have a part twoooo. Over reacting aside, that was some good quality angst!!
I think this was for the pregnant one? So that’s fine since I have a pretty great idea of how to end it ;D Great for me, not for your hearts lmao Thanks for requesting! -Admin Satori
Part 1: Here
Ushijima Wakatoshi:
The feeling of fear never went away. The overhanging anxiety of each visitor of your home being that one woman never seemed to settle. You went through the motions of the pregnancy as if it were someone else’s body.
But you loved your baby. You ate healthy for it to come out healthy, you did yoga so as to stretch your body for the incoming labor hours, you’d read every baby book you could get your hands on to understand what to expect when your bundle of joy had graced this world.
You were excited.
But it didn’t feel like you were really… absorbing that excitement. You felt as if you were lost in a haze. Looking for warmth and security but only finding the judging eyes of his family. Only finding the pitiful looks of your family when you went to them for help and advice.
Ushijima, on the other hand, never seemed happier. He had a lovely lover, someone he planned on marrying, and a beautiful baby on the way. His hand rubbed over your swollen belly, you were due any day now, and he couldn’t help the gentle smile curl his lips when the feel of the baby’s foot pressed against his hand. You’d felt it from the inside, but you found it hard to find it enjoyable or even interesting… Your worry for everything seeming to keep you from enjoying your very life.
There hadn’t been anything more from Mother Ushijima to cause you concern. Just the phone call the day you tried to run away. Just the understanding that she did not approve of you, and she was planning to marry off the love of your life to someone with ‘superior genes’ than your own.
So why were you so worried?
“What do you think they’ll be?”
A sudden inhale graced your lungs with the oxygen they needed, you blinked furiously to tear you gaze away from the pot of boiling ramen in front of you. He’d asked a question. About the baby. His baby. Your baby. You looked up at him from the corner of your eye, “I think it’s a girl….” You finally got out, using his expectant curious gaze as a sort of context clue. His hand rubbed along your belly, “But you want a boy, don’t you?”
Ushijima smiled tenderly, closing his eyes before leaning down and pressing a kiss to your temple, “I want them to be healthy and safe.” He deflected, but at your raised eyebrow he knew his tactic hadn’t worked. He glanced away with a secretive smile before turning to set the table, “A girl would be nice, as well… Perhaps twins.”
You scoffed, finding relief in the release of your tension. You’d been holding onto it for almost 9 months now, with no further news or clues from his mother…. Maybe she’d forgotten about you… You doubted it… But you didn’t want to jinx it either. “Yeah, sure… I don’t think I’m big enough to be carrying twins, Toshi.”
The sight of his lifted cheek told you he was smiling, “Well I guess we won’t know until that day.”
He’d successfully deflected you from gender, a question he’d originally had asked, onto now the amount of babies you were holding. You were sure it was one. Just one. And you were sure it was a girl. Mothers’ intuition, you assumed.
You set the heat of the stove to a simmer, letting the contents cook slowly. Then your hands rested on the shelf of your belly, feeling the gentle push of the small being inside. Soon. “Almost there… Just a couple more days…” You whispered down to your belly, feeling your nerves wash away with the thought of seeing your baby soon. Your and Ushijima’s baby.
The shrill ringing of the phone brought your attention away from your warm feelings of motherhood. Back to the harsh reality of your recently revealed presence. In a family you did not belong in. She’d made that plainly clear.
As if a trigger had been pulled, you feel a warm heat stream down your legs an pool at your feet. Looking down, as best you could around your belly, you felt your heart leap into your throat, “Uhh… Wa-Waka….” You rested a hand on your belly, feeling a panic rise in your chest at the realization of what was happening. What you were about to go through.
“Yes, I understand, but- ________, that’s very rude, I’m on the-“
“Hang it up, and take me to the hospital.” You hand squeezed his arm tightly, your fingers digging into his skin as a wave of pain rushed over your body, centered mostly between your legs, but it felt like you were sitting a bit too close to a fire. “Wakatoshi? Now? Please?”
His eyes widened as he quickly hung up, without saying anything more, his arms quickly picking you up and rushing towards the front door.
You shook your head, whimpering at the uncomfortable feeling of being carried, of feeling harsh cramps, of the wet feeling of your pants and underwear. A mess is what you felt like. “No, no.. We need our stuff… I need to change-“
“I have the bag in the car. We’ll get you changed at the hospital.” His voice was serious, but there was a soft panic in his eye. This was his first time, as well, and yet you were the one taking it relatively well. “Keep breathing like they told you to in the class.”
Nodding, realizing you were close to holding your breath altogether, you took short breaths to battle the pain you were feeling at generally regular intervals. You were in a break between the entire drive to the hospital, which was just a few blocks away, but as soon as you were placed in a wheelchair, you grabbed Ushijima’s hand to squeezed with another contraction.
He didn’t say anything outwardly, but the feeling of your nails digging into his skin felt like he was being stabbed with tiny knives all over this hand. A few times you squeezed, he was surprised you hadn’t broken his hand completely. “Hey, it’s alright, you’re doing great.” You groaned and shook your head.
“No, no.. I can’t do this… It hurts… Waka, please, don’t- Ah!” You closed your eyes tightly and squeezed his hand as another contraction overcame you, your forehead already breaking out into a sweat of just suffering through the pain. You knew you’d be a mess come time for delivery.
They, the nurses and Ushijima, quickly helped you into a bed, making sure you were comfortable with pillows placed behind you for support. Though Ushijima never left your side. He held your hand no matter how many times you squeezed it close to breaking. “You can do this. You’re a strong woman, ______. That’s one of the reasons I love you.”
You tossed your head back onto the hospital mattress, whimpering pitifully at the feeling of cramps and your body stretching. Preparing for the arrival of your child. “Fuck… Ah… Fuck…” You cried, actual tears slipping past your control down your cheeks. He went to clear them but you shook your head, “I’m so scared, Waka… I can’t do this… Oh god.. I can’t go through with this, I’m not ready!”
“You ARE ready.” His voice was strong, deep, it held you in place and shook sense into you - and you let out a held breath as you looked up at him with tearful eyes, “You’re doing great, ________. I know it hurts, I know.. You’re showing me with how hard you squeeze my hand.”
Like you’d been set on fire, you pulled your hand from his quickly with a look of shame on your face.
But he didn’t let you pull away for long before both his hands were holding yours, “No. If you’re in pain, I will be, too. We’re in this together.” You barely had time to give him a gentle smile before you were groaning through another harsh contraction. “How much longer before she can push?” Ushijima asked the doctor as he came through the door.
The older man smiled patiently, “Ah, eager first timers, huh? Well, let’s get a look-see at what we’re dealing with.” He placated the anxious young man you called your boyfriend before he lifted the blanket from your ankles to rest at your bent knees.
You grimaced, finding it extremely uncomfortable for any other person to be looking at your nether regions, and Ushijima noticed your expression, “Just look at me, okay?”
Your expression soured more, “That just makes it worse, Toshi.” The whine you let out was more playful than he’d heard in a while, and it had his heart hammering in his chest - he’d missed you. You’d been… not your self for the longest time, and while he tried to understand it from his end, ultimately he figured it hadn’t been his business; It had been.
“Ah, alright, Mom, you ready to push?” You nodded your head quickly before realizing your mistake and shaking your head vigorously, “Oh? What’s wrong?”
Fear was choking you, but you looked up at Ushijima, holding his hand tightly with yours, feeling your nerves flowing through your veins. “I.. I’m scared.. Fuck, I’m so scared. I don’t think I can do this… What if something goes wrong? What if I can’t do this?”
Before the Doctor could calm you down, Ushijima leaned down and pressed his lips to yours in a gentle kiss. All your panic washed away, though your fear remained in a small portion - you knew you would be okay. “I’m right here. I’m not leaving your side for the rest of our lives, okay?” You stared up at him as he slightly pulled his lips from yours, searching his eyes and finding nothing but his conviction and truth in his promise. You were his world. Your baby would be his world soon enough.
The older man smiled tenderly at the display of affection, “Okay, let’s try this again… Mom? You ready to bring baby into the world?”
14 hours of labor. 14 whole hours of feeling like you were being split in half. 14 entire hours of blood, sweat, and tears….. Then the beautiful sound of your crying…
Babies.
Twins. Twin boys.
You stared down at the bundles in your arms, identical boys. Heads full of dark brown hair, their eyes closed as they rested from their violent entrance into the world. And yet… All was peaceful not but a few minutes after. Joy flowed through your veins as you stared down at your boys, at their peaceful faces - hearing one of their crying loudly before you had to continue to push and have the other.
“You’re amazing…” His voice was rough, worn from encouraging you the entire time, from cheering with you at the arrival of your first baby before the shock of the second had settled and he’d gone back into encouraging you. You looked away from your babies up to the face of their father, the love of your life.
Ushijima stared down in wonder at his little family. He hadn’t been lying earlier the day before when he said he’d just wanted them healthy… But now with the arrival and confirmation of his twin sons…. He wasn’t sure he could be any happier than in this moment. “Thank you….” Your voice was rougher, almost scratchy with how hard you’d screamed through your labor, but to Ushijima it was like music, though his expression showed his confusion. “For being here… For staying…”
One of his hands rested against your cheek, leaning down and kissing your forehead before pressing his lips against your own, “I would never abandon you. Or our children.” A promise he was going to keep for the rest of his life.
You smiled and kissed him again, feeling a warm peace fill your chest, your heart full with love and adoration for the three boys who you’d do and give anything for. Your family.
The soft sniffling and whimpering in your hospital room had you waking in the wee hours of the morning, the darkness of the passing night still making it hard to see in the room. You slowly came to, looking to your left to see Ushijima asleep on the lounge chair provided, glancing over to your right to see the cradles that held…..
One of your babies….
Awake and alert, you sat up straight in your bed, searching the room for any sign of the other baby, your other son. But there was no sign of him. No other whimpering from the other twin. “Toshi…..” He grumbled quietly, “No… No ….. Where…. Toshi!” This time he opened his eyes to look at you in confusion. You tossed off the blankets, leaning closer to the cradle to confirm there was only one of your babies tucked into one of them. The other lay empty.
But not cold.
“What’s going on? What’s wrong?” He asked, his voice laced with sleep, exhaustion from what the two of you had gone through. He’d tried to sleep in the same bed as you - but it had been too small, and he’d tried staying up with the babies, but he’d found he was far too exhausted to keep his eyes open.
Leaving your children innocently vulnerable.
Kidnapped? In a hospital? Ignoring his quesitoning, you hastily pulled your remaining baby into your arms, hushing it tenderly before you slowly stood, your hospital gown flowing to your shins as you made your way to the door of your room. “_______! What are you doing?” Ushijima jumped to his feet, rushing behind to catch up.
The light of the hall blinded you, making you blink rapidly to adjust but to also search for your other baby. The sound of crying echoing at the end of the hall bringing your attention to an elderly woman. “No…. No! Wait! Stop her!” You called, waking the baby in your arms, bringing the nurses and doctors attention to you rather than to the person stealing your baby. “Wait! NO! Stop.. I’m fine! Just. No! Get her! She-She stole - no I’m fine!”
Just as you were being surrounded by the doctors and nurses, you saw the woman turn just slightly to smirk at you. Your baby cradled in her arms. Her olive eyes showing her pride in winning.
She’d found you.
She’d found your babies.
