मोदी सरकार ने बहुत बड़ी डिजिटल स्ट्राईक करते हुए चीन की बहुचर्चित मोबाईल ऐपों को भारत में बैन करने का निर्णय कर लिया है । इसकी जानकारी सूचना मंत्री श्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने ट्वीट करके भी दी । यह निर्णय चीन के लद्दाख व अन्य इलाकों में बढ़ते दुस्साहस के बाद लिया है । इस निर्णय के तहत कुल 59 चीनी ऐप पर भारत की सुरक्षा व संप्रभुता को खतरा बताते हुए बैन किया गया है । यह करना बहुत आवश्यक भी हो गया था क्योंकि गलवान घाटी में भारतीय सैनिकों की शहादत के बाद चीन को पूरी तरह बर्बाद करने का मन भारत अब बना चुका है । और वैसे भी ये ऐप भारत का डाटा चुरा कर चीन भेज सकती थी ।

फिलहाल इन 59 ऐपों को कुछ दिन पहले ही भारत सरकार ने देश के लिए खतरा बताया था, जिसपर इस वेबसाईट पर टिकटॉक समेत इन 52 apps को बताया सुरक्षा ऐजंसियों ने खतरा । जल्दी से हटा कर करें अपना फोन सुरक्षित नाम से लेख भी लिखा गया था । इन ऐपों के भारत में करोड़ों यूजर्स हैं, इसीलिए अब इनके विकल्प की भी आवश्यकता आन पड़ी है । ऐसे में इनके बेहतरीन भारतीय ऐप उपलब्ध हैं, जिनका उपयोग किया जा सकता है ।

Tiktok की जगह Chingari: Chingari ऐप में लोग वीडियो व फोटो को साझा कर सकते हैं । यह Tiktok का एक बेहतर विकल्प है और यह Android व iOS दोनों के लिए भारत में उपलब्ध है । यह शुरू से ही Tiktok का बेहतर विकल्प रहा है । गूगल प्ले स्टोर में इसे 10 लाख से भी अधिक बार डाउनलोड किया गया है । इसमें भी पैसे कमाया जा सकता है, ठीक उसी तरह जिस तरह Tiktok में कमा सकते हैं । प्ले स्टोर पर इसकी शानदार 4.7 रेटिंग है । टिकटॉक के दस करोड़ से अधिक यूजर्स हैं, जिनका सीधा फायदा Chingari ऐप को मिल सकता है ।

इसके अलावा मित्रों ऐप भी Tiktok अच्छा विकल्प है, किंतु इसमें डाटा की सुरक्षा को लेकर सवाल उठे हैं । ऐसी खबरें आई हैं कि इसे बनाया तो भारत में गया है, किंतु इसका सोर्स कोड पाकिस्तान से खरीदा गया है ।

UC Browser का विकल्प Jio Browser: UC Browser बहुत ही अधिक उपयोग किया जाने वाला Browser है । हालांकि इसकी डाटा सुरक्षा को लेकर सवाल उठते रहे हैं और एक बार यह कुछ माह के लिए प्ले स्टोर से भी बैन हो गया था । Jio Browser इसका बेहतर विकल्प हो सकता है, जिसमें मनोरंजन के बेहतरीन सामग्री मौजूद हैं । साथ ही कई अच्छे Browser भी प्ले स्टोर पर हैं, जो UC Browser की जगह ले सकते हैं ।

CamScanner की जगह Adobe Scan: Adobe Scan भारत का ऐप नहीं, किंतु यह CamScanner का अच्छा विकल्प हो सकता है । प्ले स्टोर पर यह मुफ्त में उपलब्ध है । इस ऐप में दस्तावेज स्कैन किए जा सकते हैं । इसके अलावा Document Scanner भी अच्छा ऐप है, जिसकी प्ले स्टोर पर रेंटिग 4.6 है । यह भी CamScanner जैसी ही सुविधाएं मुफ्त में उपलब्ध करवाता है । इसके अलावा स्पेन की Notebloc Scanner भी अच्छा विकल्प हो सकता है ।

BeautyPlus का विकल्प है Indian Selfie Camera: Indian Selfie Camera भारत का ऐप है । इसमें यूजर अपनी तस्वीरें एडिट कर अपने साथियों के साथ साझा कर सकते हैं । इसके अलावा एक अन्य चीनी ऐप YouCam Perfect की भी जगह आसानी से प्रयोग किया जा सकता है ।

भारत सरकार का यह कदम सहरानीय है, किंतु जो लोग इस ऐपों को बहुत अधिक उपयोग करते थे, उनके लिए जरूर ये दुखद खबर है क्योंकि कई लोग उपरोक्त कई ऐपों से ढरों पैसा भी कमा चुके हैं । हालांकि उन्हें यह भी समझना चाहिए कि जब भारतीय सुरक्षा ऐजंसियों ने चीनी ऐपों को खतरा बताया है तो उन्हें स्वयं ही इनका प्रयोग करना बंद कर देना चाहिए । फिलहाल के लिए सरकार का यह अच्छा कदम है और चीनी कंपनियां जो भारत से भर – भर के पैसा कमाती थी, उनके लिए तगड़ा झटका है । इससे भारत की कंपनियां और भारत के लोग ही पैसा कमाएंगे। आशा है इससे चीन को सबक मिलेगा और चीनी कंपनियां भी चीनी सरकार का गला पकड़ेंगी, जिससे चीन पर दबाव अधिक से अधिक होता जाएगा ।

वैसे भी CamScanner के अलावा सभी ऐप बेकार थी, और किसी को इन्हें अपने फोन में रखनी भी नहीं चाहिए थी । लेकिन इनमें भी कुछ बड़े नाम अब भी गायब हैं, जैसे कि PUBG, ZOOM, आदि । ZOOM ऐप के खिलाफ तो भारत की सुप्रीम कोर्ट में भी केस चल रहा है और सभी सरकारी कामों के लिए इसका प्रयोग बैन है । ध्यान रहे कि Apple कंपनी के सुरक्षा प्रणाली ने हालिया दिनों में यह चेतावनी भी दी थी कि लाखों आईफोन यूजर्स का डाटा टिकटॉक चुराकर चीन भेज रही है । इसीलिए भारत की देखादेखी अन्य देश जैसे अमरीका, जापान, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, यूरोप में भी ये ऐप बैन होने शुरू हो सकते हैं ।

Indian government bans TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps

Amidst border tensions between India and China, the Indian government has just announced an official ban on several Chinese apps like TikTok, UC browser, Share It, etc. This decision was reasoned as those apps pose a security threat to the nation, thus disallowed. Surprisingly, the list doesn’t include PUBG Mobile.

Indian Government Officially Bans TikTok

The Indian Ministry of IT has just released an ordinance which disallows, or to say boldly, bans 59 Chinese apps from using. The move could be linked to India’s border tensions with China, where the latter was blamed for gradually capturing the land. The raging war was started a couple of weeks back, with many soldiers from both sides have fought and died.

The Indian Ministry has cited that, these apps are “engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.” These apps were so suspected of stealing and carrying the user data outside India, where the Indian government has no control of. This could result in wrongful harvesting of data for potential cyberattacks.

Also, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre and Ministry of Home Affairs has received several complaints and recommendations for blocking these apps. Apps like TikTok were previously banned from using among public representatives, and now it’s up to citizens too. TikTok especially, which is blamed for following loose security measures and even snooping on clipboard content, is the first one in the hit list.

Surprisingly, PUBG Mobile isn’t mentioned by the authorities in the list, though it’s made by China-based company and has a fair share of complaints from the past.

In official Press release by PIB said,

“The Ministry of Information Technology, invoking it’s power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009 and in view of the emergent nature of threats has decided to block 59 apps ( see Appendix) since in view of information available they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.”

“At the same time, there have been raging concerns on aspects relating to data security and safeguarding the privacy of 130 crore Indians. It has been noted recently that such concerns also pose a threat to sovereignty and security of our country.”

“The Ministry of Information Technology has received many complaints from various sources including several reports about misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India.

The compilation of these data, its mining and profiling by elements hostile to national security and defence of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India, is a matter of very deep and immediate concern which requires emergency measures.”

“The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, Ministry of Home Affairs has also sent an exhaustive recommendation for blocking these malicious apps. This Ministry has also received many representations raising concerns from citizens regarding security of data and risk to privacy relating to operation of certain apps.

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) has also received many representations from citizens regarding security of data and breach of privacy impacting upon public order issues. Likewise, there have been similar bipartisan concerns, flagged by various public representatives, both outside and inside the Parliament of India. There has been a strong chorus in the public space to take strict action against Apps that harm India’s sovereignty as well as the privacy of our citizens.”

El Gobierno asegura que las aplicaciones roban y transmiten los datos de usuario a servidores fuera de las fronteras indias. Según los datos aportados para la investigación, India posee razones creíbles para acusar a los desarrolladores de amenazar la soberanía e integridad del país; de ahí que se decida a bloquear oficialmente sus apps.
