i actually enjoyed the first season of high school musical the musical the series but now it honestly just makes me sad bc of what’s happened to joshua bassett… guy has a super religious homophobic family, was sexually abused as a child by a family friend, was homeless as a teen, had all the drivers license hate right when he had a health issue that almost killed him, came out as unspecified lgbt, struggled with suicidal thoughts, then got roped back into a pro conversion therapy religious cult and deleted his coming out posts? it’s all very concerning and so many people failed this kid at every possible turn :/
