"That evening, Harley was typing away at her desk while the hyenas slept on the unmade bed behind her. Suddenly, the window next to her shattered! She threw her hands up to protect herself, and as soon as she lowered them she saw the Joker looming over her. He reached for the flower on his lapel and shot his toxic Joker venom at her!
But Harley was too fast for him. She vaulted out of her chair and landed on the other side of the room. The Joker venom splattered harmlessly over her desk.
"Ah ah ah, Mr. J!" She said, wagging her finger at him. "Don't forget, I know all your tricks!"
"That's exactly the problem, Harl!" the Joker growled.
Harley laughed, the hyenas growled angrily, and the fight was on.
Harley knew she had the Joker beat. He had come alone, and with her babies on her side, it was three versus one. No problem.
Suddenly, Batman and Robin came swooping into the room. Harley realized they must have tracked Joker from Arkham. Now it was five versus one! As soon as his feet hit the floor, Batman fired a net at the Joker, and before Harley could blink the fight was over.
"Hey, Batman!" Harley complained. "I had this under control!"
Batman looked up from where he was tying the Joker's hands and feet. "I know you did, Harley." he said, "but you're supposed to be staying out of trouble, remember?"
"How can I do that when the trouble finds me?" she wailed.
For once, Batman didn't have a good answer for her.
