Super tempted to start blocking anyone who reblogs one of my posts about current events with "nothing's going to happen to Trump though" or "don't get your hopes up :(" or whatever else defeatist nonsense. Because:

YOU DON'T KNOW THAT! LAST WEEK NONE OF YOU PEOPLE WOULD EVER HAVE PREDICTED A GODDAMN FBI RAID ON MAR-A-LAGO EITHER!

Nobody knows what is going to happen, but it sure seems increasingly likely that SOMETHING will. We do not know what that is, or who will be the first to do it, but it is drastically less likely than it was at the start of the year that that will be "nothing."

You're not "keeping reasonable expectations," you're just being contrarian naysayer gloom-and-doomers just because you like to bash Democrats for Not Doing Anything.

I am, and have been, likewise considerably skeptical of Garland. I have expressed doubt that he wants to fight the battle he was inevitably stuck with doing (saving American democracy, no pressure). But if you presumably WANT him to do his job as much as I do, why all this moaning and groaning and automatic assumption that he won't, and conditioning people to expect and accept failure?

If the unsealed search warrant reveals that Trump was trafficking in, or attempting to traffic in, sharing top-secret documents with foreign powers, like his good friend Vlad, he is FUCKED.

There are clearly defined legal penalties for espionage and selling classified information to hostile foreign powers. This isn't a case of "whether they personally feel like it." There is a solid legal basis to put him away for a LONG time on those grounds, even before all the treason.

Anyway. You get blocked if you reblog a post just to be a pissy dick to me, or bash the Democrats just because, or whatever, but yeah, I've had just about enough of "nothing is gonna happen :( :( :(" after the literal first-ever raid of a former president's house on capital federal charges. Oy.
