This video actually brought me to tears. This guy gave a homeless person money and what he does with it is so touching... The homeless man actually comes back with food for both the guy who gave him the money and himself. The homeless man only wanted some time to spend with a person, a friend. The homeless man needed a kind soul in his life to sit down and talk to him. “We forget how valuable our time can be to others”. All the time we have in the world, we never take a second to just sit down and talk to a person and see their perspectives of life. We see homeless people as just people on the side asking for money, but are we actually waiting there giving it a second thought on... is it only money they want or is it just some friendship; some time for someone to spend with them and actually make them feel like they’re a somebody in the world. We never know how the person got into that position, but we criticize them based on their appearance. The video makes me question who the homeless people are in this world. Homeless people don’t just magically appear on the streets, however they are placed there because they either didn’t manage their life correctly, or something drastic happened in their life. Yes, you could say these people should be able to jump back on their feet and make a living for themselves, but how can one do that when they have no motivation or hope? The homeless person in the video said, “I’m glad you’re here/ It’s lonely out here... People walk by me and just ignore me”. I have never thought of actually sitting down with someone and listening to his or her story, I usually just give and go away. It makes me curious on all the people that I helped, what is their story? Those people have emotions too. You can’t just think of these people as addicts and nobodies, but they’re human beings with emotions. Anything you give going from money to food to just your free time, is a gift to these people.

Why I started this blog/tumblr thingamajig

You probably don't care... Lots of teenage girls have tumblr, its the next Facebook or Skype or Twitter. But I have decided to make this account because I am fed up of people judging me because of my religion. I am a Muslim. After what has happened, I'm not surprised that Muslims are disliked but in all honesty, us normal Muslims who have everyday lives hate the terrorist bombers and messed up people too, because they do things and then blame it on the religion. This has always happened. When my mum was growing up, it was the IRA who were the terrorist bombers and their catholic. There are some priests that go round raping kids and are paedophiles. This doesn't mean EVERY single Christian is a terrorist and a paedophile. So just as not everyone in Christianity is a paedophile, not every Muslim is a terrorist. I am going to prove it by posting what I do everyday and you can see you how boring and normal my life is even though I do celebrate Islamic events and I do pray 5 times a day and eat halal and don't drink (which legally I cannot do :p)
