What if this was a fic???
Tumblr media
too late already did it :]
"Pale moonlight, misty eyes. I'll allow myself to have him just tonight."
Deku is part of the 1A clan of UA Island, single landmass filled to the brim with powerful monsters exiled by humanity. He was turned into a phantom when he was killed by a curse and with no memory of his past life, he lives in UA Island and designated to protect 1A’s treasure chest, filled with his classmate’s relics that are important to them.
Unfortunately, his powers only work during a full moon and hours before the sun sets, pirates attack the island to take the chest for himself. But this pirate is different.
Captain Rody Soul of the Horizon.
He's not like the other bandits that tried to rob and raid the island. He's smart, he's stubborn (He's cute?)
And more importantly, Deku remembers him.

Deku was in the secret chamber when the raid happened. He sat patiently reading pre-opened books laid across the floor, learning about the different kinds of bugs while waiting for the full moon the next night. Then he heard the gunshots, the battle cries and explosions of fire and magic. He flinched with every loud noise and his head spun in fear and shock. Someone got in? How? How did they get past our defenses? Past Kacchan? Past Aizawa? Past All Might?
Deku wanted to do something but the full moon hasn’t arrived just yet. He looked through the cracked window and glared at the setting sun. How clever. They had attacked when the sun was still up. Kacchan and the others probably held up a great fight if they barely made it before sundown. Does that mean that Kacchan- Deku didn’t want to think that. Kacchan is one of the strongest monsters he knows and anyone he associates himself with is just as strong. The Baku-Squad must’ve survived. They could. They should.
BANG!
A door from the room above startled Deku out of his thoughts and onto his feet. “URARAKA!” Even if one is stronger than Kacchan or Aizawa, no one could get past Uraraka’s spells or the strength of Tenya who always stood guard at the conjuring room’s doorway. Regardless, curiosity and concern overcame him and Deku stuck his head through the ceiling, peeking through the concrete floor.
To his horror, Tenya is pinned to the floor by a burly man in a purple vest and red bandana, white sleeves pulled to his wrists. His black leather boots stepped on Tenya’s chest and a musket aimed at his friend’s chest. He remains quite calm; one hand in his pocket and the other with its finger caressing the trigger. A protective growl escaped Deku’s lips whenever Tenya’s face twisted in pain when he tried to breathe.
Uraraka isn’t faring well either. Her back against her big black empty cauldron, (she usually empties and cleans the pot every sunset. What lucky timing) the witch has her hands up. Her spellbook and broom had fallen to the floor and a long polished cutlass sword is aimed at her chest. She stares down her assailant with a hardened glare.
It was a boy, no older than either Uraraka or Tenya. He stood a head taller than Uraraka and wore a long navy blue trench coat that matched the three-pointed hat—decorated with a single pink and yellow feather—resting over his choppy brown ponytail. The boy had a cocky smirk on his face as he stared down Uraraka’s glare. If he was shaken by her gaze, he did well to hide it.
“Get away from her!” Tenya yelled before groaning in pain as the tall burly man pressed his heel deeper into his chest. “Agh!”
“No! Don't hurt him!” Deku screamed in fear but no one moved. No one could hear but the wind.
The buff man looked at the boy. “Your words, captain.”
Captain? He looks very young to be captain yet he looks like he was born to be at sea. The hat, the coat, a polished sword in his hand, a wooden musket on his belt, body adorned in gold. He’s only missing the parrot on his shoulder. Deku squinted at the pirate. Hmm. Have I seen him somewhere before?
The captain huffs a chuckle, “So impatient old man. Don’t worry. We’ll get what we want.” Deku twitched as the brown-hair pirate stepped closer to Uraraka. He eyed her up and down before resting his gray eyes on her pointed hat. (Deku had to take a double take for a moment. He never knew someone with gray eyes existed. Maybe it’s just the light.) “I assume you’re 1A’s witch right? The great Uravity, born from the stars, the brown-haired devil from Jupiter’s cloud.”
“Is that what they’re calling me on the mainland? Some assumptions.” Uraraka scoffs as she crosses her arms, “I don’t have to assume much on what you want, pirate.” The witch spats as she eyed the golden jewelry on the captain; A single drop earring with a pink flower charm hung from his left ear and a bronze locket dangled over the bare chest that peeked through the partially buttoned undershirt. (Partially would be a severe understatement. The bottom half barely covered his pectorals with only a silk wrap and bandages covering his naval area. NOT THAT HE WAS STARING OR ANYTHING!!)
“Ah yes, the treasure of UA Island. I’ve heard many rumors about it. Any seaman worth their own salt knows how impossible the task would be but it would be a million years before something as simple as a legend would stop me.” A million years? Please. Deku rolled his eyes. How arrogant. How—familiar?
The captain let out a low chuckle. “I know all your weaknesses. I know what makes you all tick.” He’s bluffing. He taps his chin in thought. “If I remember correctly, you reanimated monsters are afraid of fire?”
A lighter clicks in Stan’s hand. The hand that was in his pocket reveals a small lighter. Tenya flinches at the sight and he squirms on the floor as the burly man leans down, holding the flame close to his face. “No no no! St-stay back!”
“Tenya!” Both Deku and Uraraka motioned to move towards him but the captain refused to let the witch move, pushing the blade into Uraraka’s collarbone. Uraraka doesn’t let the metal touch her and backs up to her original position. “What the hell do you want?” Uraraka makes a show to not be threatened but she doesn’t look down at the blade a bit worryingly.
The captain is quiet. Thinking as he looks around the conjuring room, lingering on the potions and books on the walls and tables. "Riddle me this, witch" He raises the sword to Uraraka’s neck. “Just how powerful are you?”
“Wh-what?” The witch stammers, mustering the strength to look at the pirate in the eye. Uraraka’s face falls. Tenya froze in fear and if Deku had a heart, it would’ve dropped to the floor. He wanted her?
A flash of concern and confusion appeared on the older man’s face. “Kid, what are you doing?”
The pirate ignores him, his leather gloves tightening around the sword’s hilt as his gaze sharpened with a new determination. “Tell me. How strong is the most powerful witch on the island? Strong enough to—I don’t know—raise the dead?”
What?
