Also if you don't mind me adding in, the Rise boys are like 12 to 17 years old in the age range and dealing with such heavy things like the 12 boys emotional, physical and mental trauma would be quickly overwhelming for them. Cuz they're kids and they haven't exactly been through the insanity and tragedy that their older counterparts have been through. So while in theory they'd have a sense of what they should do to help them come to terms with this baggage, putting them into use and being successful in it is a whole other ballgame.

And even though the Rise boys would be completely over their heads with the heaviness of the 12 boys burdens they'd still try to help them in anyway they can. However it'd be incredibly difficult for them, especially when you take into consideration just how stubborn and tight lipped the 12 boys can be on these kinds of issues. Like the 12 boys don't want to dwell on the emotional, physical and mental traumas that they had experienced in their lives. Opening that bag would just mess them up even more and the 12 boys don't want to deal with it even though ignoring it and bottling it up is severely unhealthy in the long run. They'll joke about it or brush it off like it's no big deal because the other option is to face these things head on and deal with the aftermath of actually processing everything. So in many ways it'd be like pulling teeth with the 12 boys actually opening up to the Rise boys. Plus with them being younger, the older turtles would be even more tight lipped about it in order to spare and protect their younger counterparts from the landslide that's bound to happen when they open up completely.

Basically both parties would be incredibly unprepared for the actual repercussions of doing this and would effectively end up potentially kicking a methodical hornet's nest accidentally.

At least that's how I'm seeing this going I could be completely wrong here.

I really can’t see 12 opening up to their younger counterparts, both out of the way they are and to not scare and burden the Rise kids.

I see people joke about Rise Mikey being a therapist to them. I chuckle at 12 making wise cracks about their trauma. But they wouldn’t do that right off the bat for sure and Rise Mikey would be ill equipped to handle that. The kid is 15 in the movie, the exact age that the 12 turtles were allowed to go above ground. I guarantee they won’t be able to make it to Season 2 before Rise Mikey crumbles. I’m not saying 12 is fucked, but their experiences and trauma are very heavy and would take a lot of mental strength to listen to what they’ve been through and to help them out.
