Complicated Strange New Worlds feelings because on hand I do like some of the new characters like La'an and I enjoy that there are sillier episodes, but on the other hand, it's just not very good Star Trek, what have you done to Spock
#I do not enjoy La'an's Gorn centric backstory or Kirk romance subplot but I am legally required to support a fellow emotionally stiff Wasian#like the musical episode was silly! it definitely could've been better but I appreciated the attempt at silly!#sometimes Star Trek takes itself too seriously and it's like aaaahhghh find a man and put him in a fun costume NOW#don't like how they've really been leaning into the navy aspect with some newer Trek- like yeah you can have some shooting as a treat#but what about exploring strange new worlds#I like the SNW Spock actor better than the AOS one but that is not my guy why are you smooth and not communicating it's illogical
