they have got to stop calling shit waterproof that is water resistant at best it's so fucking annoying. also does anyone have recommendations for rubber boots that don't crack open and become useless within 4 months

#my brother sent me trail sneakers that are ostensibly waterproof so i tried bathing a horse in them and well. my feet are wet #however. i don't think they are any more wet than they would be if i used any of my boots which were also ostensibly waterproof at one point #and it was accurate for a while but my rubber boots have long since split and the leather ones are cracked and years old and not doing well #don't even get me started on jackets. i've never experienced a single actually waterproof jacket #brought a “waterproof” jacket to fucking iceland and got so fucking wet it sucked #me
