Drew my persona/self insert/whatever you wanna call her a while back, and decided to tweak it based on some feedback and personal suggestions. I'm more or less satisfied with her design now and decided to talk about her a bit here.
Meet Sanya. Her friends sometimes call her "Waffles".
She used to be a mutant Saiyan... in the new lore she's legally distinct because she's now in the same universe as Project Absentia. Monkey tails are in the public domain, fuck off Toei.
In seriousness, her species are a race of intersex humanoid beings with tails - and typiclaly their race has exceptional gunslinging skills and typically run on the petite or really fucking huge side of things. Oh, and their culture has questionable fashion choices from the 90s - and unapologetic about it.
In the old lore, she used to work for a military dictatorship, then defected, became a detective aimed at taking down despair cults and other threats.
In the new lore, she is a detective still - used to work in the public police sector, went into a private detective work after the police refused to let her follow a lead into a puritan terrorist cell. As a private detective, she continued her work, dodging both the cops and the terrorist cell alike, while working with her sex worker/hacker friend Sasha, and her raging anarchist and burger joint enjoyer Dominika.
She's 2 meters tall - or in Imperial units, 1/32 of the height of an average Bridgeburner56 room minus 4 linedefs. She weighs 145 kilograms (or in imperial, 320 x cheeseburgers). She specializes in John Wick inspired combat, compared to Abby Generro (Project Absentia) who just empties her weapon, throws it away and get another. She's thus a smidge more tactical.
I picture her with a voice like Japser from Steven Universe. She really likes chunky sandals, but will wear combat boots or sneakers, depends really on the weather.
And for those curious, she uses she/they pronouns. I am legally obligated to mention that.

Hello, love! I hope you're doing amazing! 🤍🌌 Can I pretty please request free reading? If not, it's totally okay, your wellbeing is more important than my question🤍💫
So I am Dominika (people call me Domi), three words: overthinker, too sensitive, big romantic.
Password: bluestars💫
My question is: could you tell me anything about my love life, please?/will i be one day in relationship? I know you said that you don't want questions about future spouse and these types of questions where people ask about future probably too, so feel free to ignore this if you want to, it's okay ♡ just tell me please whatever you feel like to tell me.
Thank you very much and have gorgeous day. Take care and I am sorry if I did something wrong🥺🤍
Hello Domi!! Welcome to my blog and thank you so much for being aware of my rules♥️
Again same disclaimer: about future questions, I am not going to sell you what hypothetical future you are going to have since I firmly believe that your current actions will shape your future. Expect to have present moment advice about what you need to work right now instead of thinking about what is next. I am sorry if this is not what you wanted but this is how I work.
You were warned that future questions are not my best ability.
But I appreciate that you as a fellow tarot reader value my wellbeing over reading and understand that giving a reading either short or long, it costs us anyway energy and effort to read. So thank you so much♥️🫶🏻✨
The question that I made is: will you be in a love relationship one day.
╰┈➤ Five of swords (tarot of the divine)
(I am so sorry that you got five of swords)
Your previous relationship left you with so much trauma or pain that you still have to digest everything and need to heal your heart first before jumping into a new one. If you never had an ex, then this could possibly mean that your crush, situationship or anything that you dreamt before disappointed you so much that you want to distract yourself by going into a new love relationship. I am so sorry to say but this is not how it works, and if you can manage to get one you will honestly fucked up somehow and someway, and so the cycle will continue. Whoever they were, they are so toxic that you have no dignity and respect for yourself because you choose to please them, which is a big no no in any kind of connection.
The card is suggesting to you that in order to have the relationship that you dream of, you have first to work on yourself and get back the respect that you lost for yourself. If you have no respect for you, how come other people can respect you? And then after getting back your power and independence from any codependent relationship, you have to move on and forget your past relationship and not let your past influence your actual and future love connections. Don’t let anyone step over you because you think you are worthless. Don’t let anyone dictate how much you are worth. If you think you are a diamond, you are. But if you think you are worth nothing more than a normal stone, then you are worthless. Your thoughts shape your self concept, and if you continue to be negative with yourself, how can you demand others to love you the way that you are without starting some useless drama like “they are lying, I am not beautiful” and doubt every single word. Trust issues are a big no no as well. Build a relationship with yourself first and then you can seek external relationships.
I hope you can genuinely heal and become strong🫂♥️ I wish you all the best and I hope you can find love within you and then find the love of your life🫶🏻
Send you big hugs and good energy✨
Thank you so much for trusting me and have a nice day or night!✨ remember that feedback is a MUST as said in the rule or else you are going to be excluded in my future readings since you broke the rule♥️

"Very Funny"
teatr: Festiwal Szekspirowski / Schauspielhaus Bochum
reżyseria: Patrycja Kowańska i Dominika Knapik
Bardzo lubię, kiedy teatr zaskakuje mnie w pozytywny sposób. I takim pozytywnym zaskoczeniem było „Very Funny” w reżyserii Grubej i Głupiej.
Pozbawione jasnego ciągu przyczynowo-skutkowego sceny przechodzą jedna w drugą, a mimo to tworzą dosyć jasną i konkretną wizję codziennego życia jako twórczyni.

Final Scene of Ricochet - Kontakt 5 Session.
18/04/2019
This blog post discusses two separate videos which each contain different versions of music accompanying the final scene of Ricochet. As a result this blog post is split into two parts. The music discussed in Part 1 can be found in the video attached to this blog entry. The music discussed in Part 2 can be found in the video posted after this entry.
Part 1
After watching Ricochet with new improvements and adjustments to the soundtrack, the project seemed to be coming together well, but the final scene stood out as the music in the conclusion required changes. In a 1-2-1 tutorial my course leader recommended trying to use the soundtrack to create dramatic qualities which emphasised the storyline, which helped with the decision to replace the final scene music with something more dynamic, making use of cinematic techniques to create an ending with additional impact. I booked a production studio in the dBs centre with the aim of creating the new approach in Native Instruments Kontakt 5.
My initial idea was to create a leitmotif for each character by assigning each actor with their own instruments and rhythm. The instrument part would switch, depending on which player was on screen taking their shot. The following quote supports this concept, “in filmic contexts the introduction of musical leitmotifs is highly conventionalized. Usually this introduction involves the simultaneous presentation of the character and his or her leitmotif” (London quoted in Green, 2010, p.86). Within Kontakt 5, I used ‘Albion ONE’ to create a brass section leitmotif for Pool Player 1, and ‘Session Horns’ with differing saxophone parts for Pool Player 2. The idea was that contrast between the instrument parts would add to the competitive atmosphere in the short film and build drama by highlighting the distinction between each player and the fact they are on opposite sides, both trying to win. Screenshots of the Kontakt 5 patches for both leitmotifs are below, displaying settings used and articulation applications:
Kontakt 5 - Albion ONE - Pool Player 1 Leitmotif
Kontakt 5 - Session Horns - Pool Player 2 Leitmotif
The use of different instrument articulations helped to make the music sound more natural and less like a digital creation. In this humanisation process, sounds like brass parts and horns can be developed to feel more realistic, as if the instrument is played by a human and not electronically synthesised. The ADSR tutorial states, there are methods of “using articulations in Kontakt to maybe bring a little more realism or some new creative choices to some of your parts” (Articulations in Kontakt, 2016). The first screenshot above shows three instances of Brass Legato instruments that apply different articulation settings. These articulations were modified every time it was Pool Player 1’s turn. I was able to create combinations of samples with different articulations, as described in the Albion One User Manual, “Albion ONE features our infamous “legato articulations”, which combine adjoining samples to give ultimate musicality” (Albion ONE Manual). These articulation settings can be seen in the bottom left of each patch in the screenshot, represented as musical notes. In the bottom left of the second screenshot above you can see a Latin articulation was applied. By following the same technique and changing the phrase each time the leitmotif came in, I could keep the consistency of instruments but make parts evolve to retain listeners’ interest.
Next, I created a drum loop consisting of a kick drum, hi-hat cymbal, and a woodblock to accompany the leitmotifs. By changing the relevant parameters for microphone placement, reverb, tuning, attack, hold, decay, and setting the mix of the kit to be acoustic rather than electronic - matching the humanisation qualities discussed above - I crafted a minimalistic drum beat to support the melodic elements. I arranged the drum beat so that while Pool Player 1 was on screen or engaged in his turn, only the hi-hat cymbals were present. When the visual content switched to Pool Player 2 the full drum part was present, adding to the leitmotif for each character while keeping a consistent beat. A screenshot depicting the Kontakt 5 drum patch is below:
Kontakt 5 - Drum Patch - Leitmotif Accompaniment
I also applied carefully placed octave doubling in an attempt to bring emphasis to dramatic on-screen moments such as players scoring, “historically, octave doubling is one of the ubiquitous archetypes of orchestral music, its function not only to amplify or clarify the relationship between various elements, but also used as a dramatic tutti effect” (The Idiomatic Orchestra). This technique involved placing notes which play simultaneously in three separate octaves to increase the impact of on-screen action. Finally, I altered the new parts’ dynamics with volume automation. With a more dynamic score, techniques like octave doubling were more powerful because of the increased dynamic range.
At the next production showcase for the module I presented the updated version of Ricochet with the newly developed final scene music (discussed above) to the class and the feedback was mostly positive, but there was some concern from my course leader and fellow students that the ending was not appropriate, and the atmosphere I had created was too different from the rest of the soundtrack, resulting in an inconsistent film score. I was advised to change this ending and pursue an extended version of the Hip-hop music section that occurs in the middle of Ricochet (1:27).
Part 2
On consideration, this seemed good advice as I too was unsure of the new part I had created in Kontakt 5 and after showing the project to other students and asking them some questions, I found that the concept of the leitmotif did not come across clearly enough. Leitmotifs are most powerful when used in long feature films rather than short films, and with the short duration of the film there was not enough time to build up a strong enough leitmotif that the audience would automatically associate a certain character with a specific sound or instrument part. As a result, I changed direction by building a more developed version of the Hip-hop element.
When developing the Hip-hop soundtrack, I added a variety of new elements. The most important of these included the creation of a new sub-bass and synthesiser part using Native Instruments Massive, and implementing the Shepard Tone - a psychoacoustic technique thoroughly explained in the presentation video attached to my proposal for this project (starting at 0:19 in the video following this post). Another important addition was the technique of chopping and reversing an atmospheric pad sample before finding and slightly boosting a resonant frequency with an increase of gain on a bell filter in Izotope Ozone 7 Equaliser that made the pad stand out and sit on top of the mix (heard at 0:00 in the video following this post). I then used Ableton Live’s ‘Redux’ stock plug-in, a bitcrushing effect, to add some character to the sound before processing it with ‘Ping Pong Delay’ followed by two versions of ‘Auto Filter’ which contained frequency automation moving across the frequency spectrum at differing times. This helped give the sound a morphing effect and add some interesting characteristics (occurring at 0:11 in the video following this post). By using sidechain compression on this track and other elements I was able to make the sound duck in volume whenever the kick or snare drum occurred, which both created greater movement in the track and made the kick and snare drum cut through the mix more prominently. The screenshot below documents this process:
Ableton Live - Auto Filter Automation
The newly developed Hip-hop piece seemed more appropriate for the visual material than the Kontakt 5 soundtrack discussed above in Part 1. Next, I received a final video edit from Dominika Zieba who as requested had swapped around the last two shots, resulting in a better conclusion for Ricochet. This, coupled with the new soundtrack ending seemed to have good potential, but before I put the pieces together I needed to add a title screen and credits. The version Dominika had sent started with a screen that read “Media Offline” and displayed a warning message. I used iMovie to swap this with a title screen and create transitions between the title screen, film, and credits.
Then into Logic Pro X, I replaced the video with the final version, and swapped the old Kontakt 5 final scene soundtrack with the new Hip-hop one. As there was content added at the start and end of the video, the soundtrack needed synchronising again. I then began to process all sound effects and pool location sound recordings by sending everything to ‘Bus 2’ which held compression, and ‘Bus 3’ which held reverb, in varying amounts using similar parameters to those used in Aperol Spritz (blog entry from 03/04/2019). However, this time I made use of a different reverb plugin, as I felt the “Chambers” space in the Reflektor reverb in Guitar Rig 5 was more appropriate for replicating the dimensions of the room. I sent the tracks to the reverb bus in differing amounts depending on the camera proximity and its position in relation to the sound on screen. A screenshot of the Guitar Rig 5 Reflektor Reverb patch is below, followed by a screenshot documenting the bus track technique:
Guitar Rig 5 Reflektor Reverb
Sending tracks in differing amounts to auxiliary tracks holding compression and reverb
Pitch shifting was not needed much in Ricochet, in comparison to Aperol Spritz where sound effects needed to be more and powerful and have more weight, as I wanted to retain the original qualities of the location sound recordings and maintain soundtrack believability
Finally, I created another version of the Ricochet’s title screen introduction music and changed it into a piece that could be used in the end credits. This process worked well, a significant technique used being impact sounds to signify the ending. As well as reversed impact sound effects, “UK broadcasters in recent years have developed a softer style, then drawn on dance and other forms of popular music and finally employed sound effects in the production of channel idents” (Brownrigg, Meech, 2002, p.345). The effect in this case was to add a slightly mysterious or menacing end to the piece, which seems to work quite well.

COOKIE CLICKER
Cookie Clicker is an idle game in which you must click on a giant cookie to increase your cookies per second without a concrete goal given. They way in which the game was provided in class was a competition with each classmate attempting to be the first to reach 100,000 cookies per second.
As a competitive player this sparked my desire to play. My source of enjoyment came from the fact I was maintaining a lead in front of everyone. I can say confidently if roles were reversed and I was finding out i’m far behind a lot of people I would have lost all my motivation to play.
The moment the challenge was over and I confirmed in my head that I won I easily deleted all my progress and permanently closed the game whilst others actually kept playing throughout the day in other lessons.
Judy Willis states that “After making a prediction, choice, or action, and receiving feedback that it was correct, the reward from the release of dopamine prompts the brain want to repeat that action and receive more dopamine-pleasure.” This might be an indicating factor in the addictive nature this game has. Despite the lack of a clear goal, the constant rewards given from simply pressing a button is what releases dopamine and keeps the player at a constant high.
Endorphins are also a contributing factor to the constant playing. Dominika Kuczyńska explains that “endorphins cause really good mood (also euphoric) and provide energy to “go an extra mile”, decreasing the feeling of being tired.” The goals set have gradually increasing time between them and endorphins keep us in the track of pursuit knowing you are inching towards that dopamine release you so desperately want.
“The second psychological underpinning of incremental games is our accumulation desire and loss aversion. Our brains are wired to dislike losing things we have, and, conversely, to give us a strong desire to accumulate things.” As explained by Alexander King.
Understanding this concept it reinforces the addiction aspect and explains why all my classmates did was click. For my playstyle, I looked at it more from a strategic perspective, I waited to be able to make big purchases that would give me the most cookies in the shortest time for the sake of the class challenge. I don’t feel like I was sucked into the obsession of clicking as much as others as I didn’t feel the reward from clicking most of the time albeit occasionally.
The highest surge of dopamine I had was at the end of the challenge when I was the first to reach the established goal. The moment it was confirmed I won I legitimately sold everything I purchased and severely tanked my progress and felt nothing of it.
I had no desire to continue and that could possibly be that I need much more substantial rewards to be motivated. I might not have dopamine releases from the click of a button but need something that I myself consider a challenge or achievement to succeed in.

You wanted to become a creative leader with a strong vision. Think of people who create exceptional things at a strategic and creative level. The same goes for these, who constantly change all the rules in the market. They are visionaries, but are very involved in the details at the same time. Real builders. You wanted to be one of them.
It started with the click of a button which was often enough to let others know you liked them. You could be liked back for it. Posting a photo of your favourite's artist piece was easy. But making an art piece required certain skills and a bit of flair. More and more you had become fond of less popular channels that you could use without being obliged to actually double check before releasing anything there, as there were almost no appreciation, neither dislikes from the other users. You were familiar with niche outlets that had almost zero subscribers. You started to think of becoming an artist yourself. You decided to secretly keep track of one, when he was working on an exhibition. He used various media and had an outspoken position because of the recent work. He has been also widely presented in institutional venues and amongst the art fairs. With a great feedback it leaded him to the leading position. The exhibitions he was working on were planned much in advance and all of them had a curator, a text and reception. Everything seemed to be going great also in this case. Except for the budget which was less than pitiful (...).

How would you describe your courses?
BA Animation explores both 3D and 2D digital techniques fundamentally with character animation at its heart. Overall it aims for a holistic approach to its delivery. It covers a broad range of contextual studies, such as animation history, animation trends and the creative industries. It explores storytelling, character development and interpreting script into storyboards. We give the students the opportunity to improve key traditional art skills, both in the life room and out in the environment. They get to explore a range of stylistic approaches to improving their creative and design vocabulary.
We train our students in software such as TV Paint, Cell Action, and Maya and other supporting industry related software. We teach 3D digital model making, focusing on efficient topology and effective texturing techniques. We embed animation principles through short experimental animation and explore story telling with longer projects.
Year 1 is a foundation in animation that introduces both 2D and 3D tools and techniques. Students have the choice in year 2 to focus on either 3D or 2D. Year 3 is driven by two independent projects producing creative and industry focused animations. To kick start a career in animation.

Without this vital training I would have struggled to forward my career and pursue my ambition.

The Rise of Veganism
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIQig7J-u0s&t=1s
Last weekend I completed my Dissertation Documentary called ’The Rise of Veganism’.This Documentary was to get into the new trend of Veganism and really see what its about and why it has got so popular and highlight it’s issues in society.Have you ever wondered why people chose the life of Veganism or why so many people are starting to become Vegans. In 2016 The Vegan Society in partnership with Vegan Life Magazine commissioned research that found that there were over half a million vegans in Great Britain: three and half times as many as estimated in 2006. At least 542,000 people in Britain are now following a vegan diet and never consume ant animal products including meat, fish, milk, cheese, eggs and honey. This is a whopping increase since the last estimate of 150,000 ten years ago. People have heard about Veganism or seen the word about but do they actually really know what it is all about. This documentary was made to educate the public but also get we an insight on the day to day life of a vegans.
Through out filming I was able to interview Vegan organisations,as well as vegan supports and visit vegan events.I initially started planning and creating ideas from January and many things I did was visit Vegan food hotspots in London to get some inspiration.I hadn't had any vegan food before so I felt it was important to try it first hand and also be a setting which is Vegan orientated and check out the atmosphere.
17th Febuary 2018
I was able to visit By Chloe (Covent Garden),Cookdaily in (BoxPark, Shoreditch) and lastly Vegan Hippo in Soho but it had unfortunately closed down a year prior to visiting.Nevertheless the two places I did visit were great. It was great to try out the food, definitely different to what I'm used to but it was great and had a great atosphere.By Chloe was much more of a sit down restaurant, very classy and sophisticated compared to CookDaily was a quick on the go hotspot. After visiting both places and looking at the menu.I realised that the food they were providing wasn't much different to what a regular person would be eating, they had the usual Mac N Cheese dishes,Burgers,Noodles,etc...and the flavours wasn't too bad either. It did make me wonder how many people had been very judgemental of what vegans ate and how many thought all they ate was fruit and veg but places like this show that they cater for everything and its not all plant based.
7th March 2018
Another way to get an insight of Veganism on a much more deeper level was visiting the Vegan Society.Which I researched and saw what they do for the community and it had great reviews and factual information. This was the setting I needed to be in for my Documentary especially because it had such a big impact for the community. I was able to reach out to the Society and got in contact with the the Media & PR Officer Dominika Piasecka and she was happy for an interview.A downer was that the office was in Birmingham which was a big inconvenience for me but I managed to make it down there as I really felt I had to go there.I felt I needed to meet someone first hand that knew everything and had began in the business for along time.I drove down with a family member as I had a lot of equipment and I also brought Tomi to assist with camera operating.
As soon as I arrived Dominika welcomed me and Tomi into the building. It was great to see everything in person. The awards they had won for best organisation and how they had been recognised, many magazines, leaflets, office, conference room and I could tell it was a serious organization. I was able to set up quickly,Whilst Tomi was adjusting my cameras I was able to talk to Dominika about the issues and her opinions personally. It ended on a great note and I was able to catch great footage for the interview and I learnt so much being and leaving there gave me even more inspiration for my Documentary. It gave the the information I needed and also kept me informed on what they are doing and the environmental issues we are facing.
As you can see in previous images of my set up I am using Canon 5D mark 2 which I used to to create a multiple shot interview.I preferred using these cameras and especially DSLRS in general to film as they are much more easier to carry and set up and was very convenient for my production as I didn’t want a lot of equipment that was heavy.I feel it really supported my dissertation filming because of it’s size.
We notice cameras over the years have evolved over the years.Cameras play an important part in our lives as we often use smartphones or compact cameras in this society.
However, it took a great deal of time to make the camera that we use today, be it as a small module on our smartphones or compact point and shoot cameras or the mighty DSLR’s.After all these years of advancement, cameras now have great power, portability and are packed with many features to allow us to shoot a moment and share it with the world in a matter of seconds compared to older cameras from the 1600 it was harder to develop and took much longer I felt using the DSLR would also increase my image quality to crete the content I wanted. It is also good for a person who is doing a solo production or a small crew.It just shows how technology has changed for us.,amy older cameras didn’t have much memory so after every shoot directors would export the footage of the tape every night after filming and re start the next day for filming.
8th March 2018
Throughout my Documentary process it had been a lot of factual engagement and a lot of researching and survey and displaying the topic in a serious way so I was happy that I was visiting a Vegan event that was social and fun and had a great atmosphere and Vibe.It was called ‘Vegan Nights’ located in Shoreditch,London in the Truman Brewery market.I had got in contact with the owner Louisa and she was happy for me to film the night and capture the event.
This place was something different which I had never seen before,It was EPIC!!! It was like a market transformed. There was an outside lounge area with lots of benches and bars and lights and 3 indoor sections selling all types of vegan food, such as pizza, noodles, cakes and pancakes, deserts, drinks and all sorts.I was astounded by the atmosphere it was almost like an outside club fair experience there was various DJ’s there which topped it all and I was so surprised on the amount of people who had came.I;d say around 1000 people came and everyone looked like they were having so much fun. This gave me such a different opinion on vegan events because I was very sceptical about it and thought it wouldn't live up to its expectations but it truly did.It just shows that the community can come together and have fun and that’s one thing I wanted to show in my documentary besides all the negativity that we see in the newspapers and the best part about it was that vegans and non-vegans are welcome to come.
10th March 2018
Filming at the Vegan market was very challenging as they were only open on Saturdays so I had to schedule a day where I was not busy with other commitments. Whilst I was there I decided to interview a few of the market stall owners just to get an insight on why they felt people are turning vegan. I interviewed two people and got their perspective on the matter, one of the reasons why she had got into Veganism was because of a show ‘Cowspiracy’ that she watched on-line which was a documentary also displaying the animal cruelty and environmental issues displayed in society. After we engaged in a conversation about it as I had just finished watching it also. She had changed for environmental and which I have noticed are one of the reasons why people decide to go vegan and she gave me information on which I could include in my Documentary.
16th March 2018
During this project I interviewed a couple from Watford by the names of Mac and Ije which was a very different type of interview and as I personally knew them so it was very intimate and we had enough time to create conversation. I felt this interview went very well because I was able to get a different type of perspective on what they thought Veganism is about. It made my dissertation more balanced by getting different views.
Having talked to Mac an ije they brought to my attention that not all vegans are pacifists there are some extremists in the vegan community. After hearing about these vegan activists I wanted to visit a vegan protest just to get a feel of how it is like in that environment. Unfortunately, I was unable to go to one because the time I was doing filming there were no protests happening. I tried to track out some these type of vegans so that I can get both sides of the spectrum but was unable to speak to any. I did some research to find their thoughts on Veganism and it seemed most vegans share their opinions when asked about while extremists force it down your throat. I read an article where a vegan activist threatened a farmer by calling them murderer. Whilst there is a small minority that do take this approach there are some that don’t, but the overall mix does cause conflicts within their own community at times.
In conclusion to the success in the making of the film. One thing I feel is that to widen the film I could of included an interview with extremist vegans an non vegans showing both sides of the spectrum. But, overall the documentary has been an incredible eye opener to this topic and has made me more informed of other communities. This was a great journey to film and I have learnt so much about the movement and I hope this film can finally show some positive aspects to our society.

Distribution
For this Documentary I plan to distribute this video on online platforms such as Youtube and Vimeo and I hope I can get some feedback overall. It is great that I have platforms online to show my work because back in the day many content creators didn’t have the access to display and advertise instantly and be shown around globally and were very much displayed on a plant based aspect and if this was a professional production it would be harder to promote whereas now we have the access of the internet we are able to give much more and share much content where people can install see within seconds of sharing.
