trying to be ~back online~ after almost three years of disconnect feels like being the weird aunt who only comes over on holidays

I don't recognize my favorite cousins or know who's dating who and I've definitely missed some family issues and big milestones bc I've just been spectacularly out of the loop

but that doesn't mean I don't love u

#what am I even doing lol #I've been out of 'social' mode on tumblr for so long #most of the blogs I follow are back from the days of teen woof and naruto #now I don't even know who half the people on my dash are anymore bc I last interacted with them like six urls ago lmao #I hope all my old internet friends and moots are doing good even if I don't recognize their new blog or icons and can't call them out #do I try and write more even though im well and out of date on everything?#do I swan dive into a new fandom and hope they're nice?#do I delete my tumblr and ao3 and walk into the ocean?#(that is the most tempting of all the options btw)#feels like a genuine pet sematary moment like #sometimes dead is better #flospeaks #maybe it is time to sign off #prolly to delete later if I remember
