Regardless of how I don’t like the soulless Miquella twist in the dlc, I think it would have been much more interesting if he chose to resurrect Godwyn instead. We already kind of know they were close with a few dialogue lines, we would also get a new boss/ design to go up against. Also the idea of Godwyn still being used after his death, still robbed of autonomy and agency always forever a tool, a amalgamation of what he once was….those would be some interesting themes to play with
