Old Money Style
꒱࿐♡ ˚.*ೃ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The old money style is the fashion style of old rich people since many génération. This style appear in 19th century in Europe in the aristocracy and royalty and later in the northern America.
This style inclueded for Women:
-Blazers, women's cut suit pants, satin shirt or wool shirt, polo, tweed co-ord, elegant turtleneck sweater, small heels, mocassins, long tight dresses/skirts, polo, black sunglasses, birkin Hermes Bags, elegant belts, satin scarf on the colar/ in hair, woolen sweaters, golden jewerly, pearl jewerly and elegant hairstyles.
and for Men:
-Basic shirt/ whool shirt, simple belts, woolen sweater, golden jewerly, polo, whool pants/short (for summer), elegant expensive watch, coton sweat, white/beige/light blue regular jeans, and mocassin for shoes or simple beige sneakers.
Now the question is " we need to be rich to adopt the old money style ?", i think the answer is yes, cause this is not just a fashion style this is also a life style and to have this style you need clothes with the best quality like the real old money, and not buy this types of clothes on a fast fashion brand with bad quality.
However it's not forbidden to adopt this fashion style without being "rich" but do not buy on fast fashion bad brand it's really not "old money".
And right now the brands where adherent of this style buy their clothes:
Ralp Lauren, Chanel, Dior (for special occasion outfits), Hermes, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Cartier, Prada, Gucci, Brooks brothers and J.Crew

AEW (for the week of 14/Aug.2k24) #CVReview
Shida v. Mone' was a fantasy match, and though I was tempted to sleep on AEW this week, I opened my eyes and got to see the fantasy come to fruition.
Tumblr media
Was it a clinic?
No.
But, Shida was able to do some unprecedented things as a fresh opponent for Mone', such as letting a Meteora practically phase through her as Mone' crashed into the turnbuckle.
I was disappointed to see Mone' not carry the match, leaving the best spot to go to Shida with a jumping knee in the middle of the ring.
Tumblr media
I get it though. Mone's in her "cowardly heel" phase, so a surprise win was up for grabs as Britt Baker's music hit and Mone's enforcer beat up some random in the crowd just because dude had a mask on.
Took me back to my first time seeing Slipknot at The Forum. Fuck LAPD. MAGGOT'S 4 LIFE !
Anyways, Baker came from behind off the distraction and got the best of Mone', leaving Mone's enforcer to pull Mone' away from Baker as she attempted to deliver a mandible claw. The segment ended with Baker taunting Mone' with her stolen TBS title, but All In stipulations aside - I dont mind seeing Mone' go on a run with the NJPW Strong title not the TBS title.
This isn't the "2 Belts Banks" days. Wrong promotion. After her time going from WWE to foreign brands the NJPW title just fits her better, and don't let her get her hands on that CMLL title !
I wonder if Baker's glove is velour? I dig the new glove. The material looks (and probably feels) amazing , as is Mone's new outfit. Looks like after that divorce announcement she's back to bearing navel. I dont know what her ex-Polynesian dude might've had against that, but whatever. Mone' came out the ring and I mistook her for Leila Grey. Whatever she's eating these days, someone needs to keep feeding her.
Just as well the highlighted red was out of Grey's closet and should stay on Mone's head because her hair on "Collision" later on in the week made Mone' look like a trannie. Come on I missed the Dynamite match because Nyla Rose was on there, Mone' don't have me checking for an Adam's Apple after all these years ...
Tumblr media
The Baker match on "Collision" was pedestrian against Harley Cameron who looked like she was taking inspiration from Virtua Fighter's Sarah Bryant - just DOA style.
The goofiest spot was after the match when Mone's enforcer, Kamille (damn she came a long way from NWA) flexed on Baker and pushed her once into the apron several feet away and waited several moments to bust a kendo stick in half over her knee.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dramatic pause just looked like Kamille was bracing herself and Baker was obviously holding herself back. Botched promo, just like the rest of the week where Saraya on Rampage cut a promo (with a very annoying cohort) that couldn't even be saved with Toni Storm doing a solo-Benny Hill impression to set up a match between the two next week.
Tumblr media
I skipped May's video promo like the Nyla Rose match and went straight to her 90 -seconds - or - less squash match against Londyn Dior. Wasn't even worth observing.
Tumblr media
Matches like that is why I get tempted to just watch ROH and call it a week when it comes to AEW's women's division.

Tiny Waist, Big Hips: Simplicity 9699
This re-issued separates pattern in modern sizes captures several of the key features of 1950s women’s fashions. It has the tiny waist and big hips that first debuted with Christian Dior in 1947 with the New Look and remained popular through the 1950s. It was a look that emphasized the hour-glass figure and used a generous amount of fabric, a sign of a longing for an end to war-time austerity and a move towards abundance.
Many dresses appeared with this silhouette, while these is separates with a sleeveless, fitted blouse to tuck into the wide, pleated skirt. Notice there is no obvious opening to get into the blouse; a side zipper gets you in. Then, it is darted and worn tucked into the skirt. Many skirts in the 1950s were literally rectangles with pleating or gathering used to reduce the circumference at the waistline. This means you can use striped fabrics turned sideways as you see here on the left. Then, we have the little jacket. This one is cut very, very short in order to show off the tiny waistline. It has cut-on sleeves, darts at shoulder and the waistline to fit it to the body, and a small shawl collar, as well as buttons.
For fabric, they recommended practically everything: cotton, silk, wool, and velveteen for the jacket. Crisp fabrics will give you the wide flare to the silhouette although a stiff petticoat will probably be needed to create the flare of the illustration.
With a belt, it appears like a neat look, but in practice, it would need adjusting as you moved in order to keep blouse tucked and the belt in place. You would have an easier time without the belt.
You can find it at your local fabric store or online here: https://simplicity.com/simplicity/s9699

Note
I believe PR is indeed pregnant not because she looks pregnant, but because a newly married royal would not show up in ill-fitting, large clothes, -like the Jacquemus blazer or the Dior skirt -which looked a solid 2 sizes bigger from the side, knowing that the pregnancy rumors will be off the charts. She is modest but she attended a wedding wearing quite a figure-hugging pink dress and even her own wedding dress was very tight...and don't forget with her pink pantsuit, she wore a belt as she did with her engagement abaya.
Well maybe! But I still believe she's not ! I don't know but I think they gonna enjoy themselves as newlyweds first, unless there's some pressure putted on them to have babies . Honestly I don't think she's wearing oversized clothes in order to look modest. It's just her being trendy ! I meant in general she's gonna be more conservative in the way she dresses and that's what most royal women do . They don't show so much skin.

No because every now and then I see someone say that the Dior coat look was a win and I'm like what. This was not a win, it was a bad loss, especially when compared to other women of BRF because they all slayed that day.
yeah the massive collar, the weird detail on the back, the misplaced belt, the beach hat and the gloves were all a big no for me. probably one of the worst looks from her imo just losing to the chain Victoria Beckham dress
