VERY down to share a bed

is flirtatious right up till you actually get in bed together

then he's actually very chill

all his moves before are verbal passes and once your sharing a bed he makes a point of it to stay on his side

he's not stiff like Aki, he's actually pretty relaxed

does tell you he's available if you want to cuddle or that you're free to snuggle up if you get cold

but once it's actually time to sleep he rolls over and sleeps

he likes you, he wants to seduce you, he makes his passes-- but he also knows pushing a boundary when you're just trying to sleep is going to do nothing but make you uncomfortable

so he doesn't

if you give any hint that you might be okay with something-- be it cuddling or something else

then his pass is very tentative

he doesn't grab you or force you into a hug

but he will put his hand on yours or open his arms and make himself avaible

he's only offering, he's not pushing anything

during the evening he wakes up in the middle of the night

he catches a glimpse of your sleeping face and actually gets a little flustered

in that moment his dokis hit him pretty hard and he has to try to ignore them

or at least, he will later

for now he's still staring

you just look so peaceful

probably goes to brush your hair out of your face but stops before he does it realizing he's being too affectionate and what even is he doing

if he wakes up to you cuddled again him and you weren't like that when you went to sleep, he'll probably lay in it a moment, enjoying the feeling of you clinging so sweetly to him, before he gently peels you off of him and lays you back on your side

in the morning he plays everything cool

very warm but he actually doesn't make a pass at you or anything

just a nice little morning together before you head out

that warmth, your closeness, that memory of your sleeping face half lit in the night, haunts him in a way he didn't expect but doesn't entirely hate...

actually with or without the fox form he tries to convince you to sleep on the floor

if you fight him, he acquiesces

but if you just sort of sadly agree he takes it back, feeling it would be too cruel to actually make you do it and he's not THAT heartless

but he makes it clear that you are to stay on YOUR side of the bed

AND DON'T HOG HIS BLANKET

has some nervousness and reluctance going into it

partly cause oops feelings but also grr dignity THE GREAT FUYU DOES NOT SHARE HIS BED

but for the most part you both get down without much fuss

once he's actually there though, his back turned to you and curled up on HIS side of the bed

he actually gets a little

contemplative???

he hasn't shared a bed with anyone in

well--- a VERY long time

and this realization along with his inability to fight off his growing pangs of loneliness makes him

and a bit sad

he's so used to an empty bed

and to the solitiude

but that doesn't mean he LIKES it

and usually he can push those feelings down and ignore them

or bury them in his sense of pride and duty

but when he's so very aware of your presences lying peacefully next to him

and compounded with the fact that it's YOU

idk-- he just can't sleep

a storm of emotions is waging in him and he doesn't know how to handle any of them

eventually he looks over his shoulder at you

your back is to him and it sort of makes him long for company all the more

you're simply doing what he's asked of you, you're staying on your side

but now he's regretting the request

if ever so slightly

he contemplates this, and many other things, as he turns to face your form

staring in a pained longing at your still shape

and when you turn over and he glimpses your sleeping face

his heart skips a beat

a new wave of strange and wonderful and awful feelings washes over him as he takes in the features of your peaceful expression

how darling you seem

how at ease you look

he didn't realize his hand was reaching ever slightly towards you until yours suddenly grabs his

it's not rough or sudden, though it did make Fuyu jump a bit

but it's actually very gentle

almost soothing

comforting

he's actually so touched by this one little gesture that your doing on accident that the room seems to light up

everything suddenly feels brighter

at least for now, Fuyu isn't alone

he'd never admit it, but he gently squeezed your hand

and with this small bit of warmth, this tiny connection soothing his frail night time nerves

he closes his eyes, sighs, and drifts to sleep

he held your hand all night

you wake up first, a little embarrassed when you find your hands together

you begin to pull it away but Fuyu's instinctively tightens it's grip and his face suddenly looks distressed in his sleep

you pause, before returning the grasp and seeing Fuyu's face relax

you leave it there till full morning

you do not speak of it the next day
