My mother's step father's sister was married to my father's uncle.
So by two marriages with another family in the middle of it.

#despite being related to that particular great aunt twice I didn't even slightly consider her family#had one of her grandkids in my class in elementary school and I was like we're related and he was like no we're not#it turns out I was the one that was right I just didn't realize /how/ at the time#which is to say we were related twice!!!#but at the time I was just like we have the same last name clearly we're related#which gets funnier after I got mom's last name instead because hers is more common
